In TLA, it's not in this game. If you were paying attention, there was some lore behind it - it was said to be the blade that had slain the serpent before. Of course, that COULD just be a mistranslation...

Also, keep in mind this is just a theory. It's possible that due to the name of the Sol Blade, that it's something to keep in mind for WHY it's called that. Of course, it'd help my argument a bit more if there was a mercury unleash on it as well, but... who knows? It's just my guess.

However, think of it. Kraden said that the Philosopher's Stone forms at the top of mount aleph when it is bathed in the light of the golden sun. We know that TWO is one - meaning THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. It also seems to imply that it's a cycle, which honestly makes sense. Think about it - people are corrupt, and eventually abuse alchemy. This leads to the world needing saving, by the sealing of alchemy. When the world is about to die, alchemy is unsealed. After a while, people's corruption leads to alchemic abuse, and the cycle continues.

Eternity Awaits You and Me

Murakumo is not in TLA.

Cloud Brand is, and it's name is Kusanagi in the Japanese version.

And its possible that The Wise One wasn't created by the sealing and unsealing of Alchemy. Remember, the Lighthouses are Alchemy Machines, in the vein of Luna Tower. They were made by the Ancient Jenei, likely. The first time they were fired, it's possible The Wise One was created. There's nothing to suggest that Alchemy has been sealed away, then released, then sealed away, then released. It's possible that the Stars were originally in Sol Sanctum to begin with, since it's the birth place of Alchemy itself.

I could have sworn it was Murakumo in the Japanese version, not the Kusanagi. Blarg, so much for that doujin game plot idea... dammit, talk about starting over from square one.

I don't think the stars existed at all in the first place.

Think of this - the Four Lighthouses ARE Alchemy Machines, just as you say. HOWEVER - their initial purpose was to drain away the energy of alchemy into its four core components - they condensed the energies so much it became but a jewel. However, in their infinite wisdom, the original incarnation of the Jenei or whatever they called themselves also put in a REVERSE function - casting the stars back in would begin to syphon the energy back from the jewel into the planet. After all, without the planet's liveblood, the planit would wither and die - they had to have a way to reverse it once mankind had lost the knowledge of how to abuse it in such world-threatening ways.

It could be that the Eclipse Tower was made in the same fashion as the elemental lighthouses by a later incarnation of the Jenei.

Or it could be that Camelot is going to troll again, and they're all from the future, and from another planet. Hey, Light and Dark are apparently elements now, and we have a WHOLE TEAM comprised of royal folk. Anything can happen now.
