I had a 48 hour dream

Thanks Poui.

My dream last night(I was asleep 10 hours) lasted 48. As in, I woke up, had a full day's worth of activity, went to sleep, had a dream within a dream(which I don't remember) and woke up again, and had -another- day's worth of activity. And the whole time I wasn't me. I was seeing through some character's eyes. He lived, I guess, in a boarding school, because he shared a room with some cowardly person. He woke up, dreading the school day coming. He spoke with his roommate, whose name is never mentioned. In fact, only two names ever are.

So the only period I remember is his first period, some math class where he's learning some weird math I'm not even sure exists. He learns some formulas, takes no notes, gets a worksheet, and I forget the rest of the school day. He's in a big city. So he's in this lobby in what I guess is his school, and he sees this tall lady with long black hair taking care of a crippled black man in a wheelchair. Turns out, the cripple has some disease I'm never made aware of, and he wants to go parachuting a few days before he dies.

Heartbreaking, I'm sure. My character didn't much care. He was talking to the lady. Also he's about twelve or thirteen, and despite that he goes to a school and has a reliable place to sleep is quite like an urchin. So he's talking and some time passes, and the cripple leaves and comes back later looking all dejected because he'd changed his mind and then after a while my character and the lady leave the lobby to the outside. There's a gigantic pool, or river, just across the street. Walking backwards, talking to 'me' the lady accidentally falls in.

Of course, my character rescues her from drowning. It's -very- deep. The first thing she says is that he should have had his feet a different way, so he wouldn't slip. This sort of thing is very important to her. So then they go to this track, and start running. My character's in better shape than I am, as he manages to keep up with a full-grown in-her-prime lady despite being apparently malnourished and etc. So then we leave the lady and find these people talking off to the side, looking all rich and stuff.

So this man shows up and is very rude. He also has a book, which for some reason my character got to read when he pulled him off to the side. BTW this man looked -very- familiar, even though he refused to acknowledge that we'd met before. Must be someone I saw IRL once. So, in it, was a name. Adrasin or... something similar to that. That's not what it was, but it's the closest I can recall. My dream character said 'So is that that lady over there?'

To which he was told no, it was the name of some sort of celestial diva or some nonsense like that. So then he went home. He was setting to sleep, talking to his roommate, when a girl of similar age jumped on him. I'm just going to say what happened here is obvious. He woke up the next morning, she was there, he went to school. I only have memories from this kid up until first period, where he had math and was pissed at himself for forgetting to do the math homework because he had no clue what the teacher was talking about.

It was weird. This is what a standard problem looked like:

-two line long word problem-

N1___ N2____ C____ K1____ K2____

Formula:

And he was supposed to use the word problem to find N1, N2, K1, and K2, and then make some sort of formula out of them using C. I'll admit it made no sense, even in dreamland.

At this point, and I'm not aware of this btw, since I'm seeing through peoples' eyes, I switch to another character's point of view. We're in my other character's room, and apparently excited, I'm thinking right now, for another night of fun. So he jumps on my other character's bed, and hugs the girl through the sheets(She's still there, for some reason, and not dressed). She starts struggling and saying things like 'no' and you get the point. The roommate's there, in his bed, which is off the right of my character's bed, and it's also a bit higher, as if it was intended to be a bunk bed.

Roommate the coward says 'I'm scared of him and Frodo. They have weird left-eyes' Frodo being the kid in the room right then. I then switched back to my other character as he gets out of school and hangs out with some homeless children doing basically absolutely nothing. I wake up before he can find out what happened. I'll admit that I was in the process of taking over the dream to change it so that Frodo gets what was coming to him when I woke up. Apparently some dreams have ways of making you not mess with them.

tl;dr I had a very very long dream and I don't like how it ended because sadface.

All dreams tend to do that, unless you purposely set up for a lucid dream before you fall asleep.

But yeah 0_o@dream.

You should talk to a dream analyzer

You mean people can't figure out what they're dreams represent already? >_> It's not that hard, as long as you know yourself and can metaphor/symbol decently... it's always fun to figure out what your subcon is up to.
And taking over dreams is THE BEST THING. It's like, OH NO YOU DON'T and then you TAKE OVER LIKE A BOSS

that's pretty crazy, though \m/ you could always fall asleep while reenvisioning that particular scenario where you left off if you wanted to get your proper revenge, BEYOND THE CONSCIOUS

Thanks Poui.

Satty, my subconscious is a bit stronger than the average.

So all in all taking control of a dream and keeping control of it can, sometimes, be really really difficult.

Maybe it depends on just how wrapped in symbolism your dreams are. I mean my dreams tend to be blatant as all hell but I doubt most people dream like that :/

I can never successfully take over my dreams though. :c

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

On the topic of dreams within dreams within dreams, I had one the other night too.

I was living in some big posh mansion or something, and then I went to sleep, and I don't remember what I was dreaming about in that dream. Then I went to sleep again and dreamed that Owen Wilson was being jumped into a gang. And then I woke up from them all in rapid succession.

Haha, that reminds me of a dream I had within a dream once. First I had a full-fledged dream complete with plenty of weird stuff I can't remember then I slowly began to realise I was in a dream. Then I woke up feeling like a god because I'd worked out I was in a dream. I got out of bed and went to have a shower then I woke up again. My subconsious was totally just messing with me!

Actually, remembering dreams is a common characteristic of light sleepers. Because dreaming occurs during the transition between levels of sleep, the fact that you don't remember your dreams just indicates that you're a deep sleeper.
