I hear comments like this all the time - especially here in the Temple since there's hardly anything stopping me from typing up a keynote. =P I've been referred to as the "talker" in Hinoa's Organization profile of myself, and Dracobolt's blog post about me being ToK Theatre's public speaker because a course in it wasn't enough was amusing: "... and so he takes to the stage with them, honing his skills and often preaching to his fellow actors about the latest issue he is passionate about. Although he's not a very polished actor, Val can be quite compelling, especially when giving impassioned monologues." I'm this "go big or go home" politician-coach in Werebarret's ToK Basketball fic and the leader of the Debate Club in Jackal's ToK High - one who's "eloquent words shock the competition," and "fights with a typewriter that can shoot the words he's typed out at the enemies. TL;DR is a staple of Vačscent." >_> Chrono once mentioned the idea of writing me up as an orator in his Celestial Spheres project, and that has just been reinforced in a post made in the Eastering Eclipse arc. It's funny, because I was borderline mute a couple of years ago. I've written things at length for a long time, but the orator comments make me realize I carry this "voice." Guess my knack for first-person narratives have influenced my everyday speech. That, and listening to a bunch of -real- orators every other day. ;D Perhaps my dream to be a lecturer in a college/university isn't so far-fetched! |

Well, you make these long, rambling posts in the forum, and written word alone doesn't translate terribly well to fiction. Therefore, I moved that talent with writing into a talent with speaking when I thought up your profile. As for the 'borderline mute' bit, well, let's chalk that up to the fact that the Organization is eight years into the future as of right now, and people can change a lot in eight years. Also, that "voice" thing you mention. That. |

I was saying I'm catching up with the perceived oratory skills on paper with the it's "influenced my everyday speech." Eight years equals all the more time to amend to the teal deer. =P |
