Ok, so, got my Dark Dawn, playing it now. Obviously, there will be spoilers. And unlike some of the other similar threads, I'm not going to be afraid to post big ones, so yeah. |Don't expect me to hide anything. Don't want to be majorly spoiled? Don't read it. Also, I'm not using guides, and I request that you all refrain from giving me hints for my first run. Unless I ask. Ok, so, some observations so far. the WTFHUEG info dump of stuff I already know at the beginning was a pain, but the stuff in the background kept it interesting, so it's a minor complaint. Lack of being able to press B to skip dialogue is making me go "What." It was there in TLA, why not here, as well? New menu and interface is sexy. So is the fact that when you use Psynergy but it doesn't affect anything it doesn't use PP (even if that doesn't make sense) I didn't try to be an ass with Isaac and Garet because I wanted to PLAY, I'll probably do it in another playthrough. Tanglewood was interesting, and Isaac and Garet need to learn to get along.Took me about a minute to get to the Tanglevine fight, because I didn't know that YOU CAN NOW USE GROWTH FROM A DISTANCE LOL. Speaking of the Tanglevine, the new Meteor animation is just... Just... Wow. There are no words. What does this have to do with the Tanglevine? I killed it with meteor while it was defending. METEOR KILLS YOU! PERIOD! .... These ONWARD!s after every annoyingly long (and common) dialogue scene that I have to tap the screen or hit an extra button for to continue are ANNOYING AND POINTLESS! WOO FLINT JOINS ME <3 Lol'd HARD at his description. "Flint talks a great deal, but is both knowledgeable and nice, so no one complains" Psynergy training grounds was a little difficult the second time, mostly because of those annoying floating boxes (finished the Jupiter Lighthouse one with a mere 37 miliseconds left!), but Dim Dragon Plus was a pushover. Hmph. Oh well, Water of Life. I'm not complaining. So, I just left Carver's Camp. Gust was annoying because I spent five minutes on that screen trying to find out how to get to it. If I'd just gone straight to the camp... Saved the person dangling from a bridge, got the hidden Mercury Djinn, so I had one of each, left the town and SUDDENLY, MARS DJINN! And... I killed it with two melee attacks. What. Fail. Gust was stronger than that! granted, I got two unleashes, but still! Checkpoint: World Map outside Carvers Camp Party: Mathew Karis Tyrell Djinn: Venus: 1 Mars: 2 Jupiter: 1 Mercury: 1 |

Spoiler: You'll be seeing them throughout the entire game. I just developed a habit of repeatedly pressing the B button whenever I play, so I don't even notice them anymore. |

Konpa Ruins is like the abridged version of Air's Rock, if it gives you a nice idea of the dungeon's style... |

Ok, I just got done playing all the way to Sveta, I'll edit this post when I log back on a few hours from now. Oh, and I found out from Grim, who's behind me, that I missed the Zagan tablet. Which was behind a point of no return at the time, and is now behind two. D: Oh well, it's just Zagan. |

All the way up to Sveta in the first day? Nice. I got up to just before Craggy Peak in my first day. xd Good luck, man. You might wanna check up the Djinn Guide since plenty of those are permanent missables too, by the way. It will have location spoilers though, so it's up to you. |
