I must have missed that, then. I remembered them talking about using Eclipse Tower, stating that it absorbed light, and then explaining that supercharging it with light via the Apollo Lens would deactivate it. Also, interestingly enough, the eclipse did not cause the monsters. Karis or Kraden, I can't remember who, asks Matthew if he saw the monsters forming in the shadows just prior to the eclipse. Maybe the monsters were created by...I dunno, nothing else seemed significant enough to make shadow monsters. |

Alex notes that they've pointed the Apollo Cannon at Tuaparang, which makes me think that, as they have a pretty good idea of the various forms of shit that are, in technical terms, going down, it's a weapon. A veritable weapon of the gods. |

If I remember right, Kraden said that monsters in general formed in dark places full of negative energy. Which the Eclipse just kind of made the entire planet into. One dark place full of negative energy. |

One planet full of hyper-concentrated negative energy. Which means that the monsters in that bit of it would be especially nasty. |

And give especially ridiculous Exp amounts. >_> Really, I had to run from a lot of shadow monster to avoid getting OVERLEVELED. |

Comparing only to GS book 1, I was still a little underwhelmed by dark dawn. A lot of stuff the developers probably felt were obligatory was thrown in that really didnt have much of a point in the end. But still, it was a great game. |

My least favorite thing was all the PONRs. I wasn't expecting that, and it makes the whole pre-eclipse part of the game feel like you're being herded around. Also who named the towns? I eventually got used to it, but at first I felt like I was being bombarded by all these un-pronounceable, crazy names. When I beat the game, I was sooooo pissed. It felt too abrupt. I was fuming through all the credits, expecting a reunion scene that would piss me off more. Then I saw the vortex and I was all like "[radio edit] YEAH! SEQUEL TIME!!!" All in all, I enjoyed it. |

Make a legitimate point that isn't pointless whining and I'll listen to you. If you want my response to your next post, just look to the first page of this thread. |

Yeah, because (a complete lack of) difficulty and PONRs are totally meaningless and not worth complaining about. As I said before, stop being such an apologist. And get off your high horse. I really don't care if you don't consider my complaints valid. >_> |

Sorry Ulta, but I've gotta agree with Slash here. Believe it or not people did not find this game perfect like you and if they have problems with it, even problems you've heard to death, they're free to say what those problems were and how they let them down. If you can't stand seeing people gripe so much, why are you even in this thread to begin with? >.> |

I just hate it that I have to run from regular encounters to avoid overlevelling. You really shouldn't have to worry about overlevelling just by fighting what comes your way normally. That's what grinding is for

The answer is obvious. Grind your overlevels into MEGAOVERLEVELS. |

Yes, it did disappoint me. It was too short, even shorter than the first game that had a cliffhanger. I never did notice I was overleveling. We waited six years. The least they could have done is given the eighth Adept more character.
