Try this then. As for the idea of Piers fathering a child and leaving, which I briefly entertained before it became far too clear who the father truly was, perhaps some kind of emergency or crisis could happen that meant Piers had to leave Ayuthay, and then he felt to ashamed to come back to his abandoned child? I dunno, but of course we don't even have to discuss this now since it's not the truth. |

OHHH it used to be Lamakan Desert. THAT explains a bunch, they never found the pre-well Ayuthay in the thing. And why Ayuthay NEEDS the well. Clever work, camelot. |

That's awesome, Crash. Thanks for sharing that. ^_^ ALSO, LINEAGE SPECULATION TIME SVETA Kraden mentions knowing Volechek's father, who apparently is recently deceased. What I want to know is, was that father ever explicitly named ingame? Because, wolf characteristics... Jovian line.... knew Kraden... I'm positing Master Maha as the shared father of Sveta and Volechek. |

That idea did cross my mind. But it seemed like they were separating the beastmen as a new, separate race. A lot of things are similar, though, so maybe it's true. |

That was a cool read. Thanks for the link. It makes me believe even more that there will be a sequel, since they openly acknowledge that Kalay and Bilibin are inaccessible. That may not mean much though. |

They did say that beastmen from all over the world migrated to Morgal. Hmm, perhaps Maha, while not technically a beastman, came to Morgal himself since it was full of people somewhat like him, and thanks to his wisdom, earned a place of prominence. |

They probably took to the title beastmen because werewolves had bad connotations. And was bigoted to non wolf beastmen. Do note that Volcheck and Sveta have canine characteristics, and that Sveta at least has a near human and near animal form (instead of Volchek's midways form) much like a werewolf. |

This is what I thought. I personally think it's a pretty strong pointer to a sequel, and they're subtly hinting that they will be accessible in GS4. You never know. |

Do remember Maha couldn't become human again. I thought it was fairly obvious that the Werewolves were people near Air's Rock redeveloping into Beastmen, since Beastmen used to exist but died out. Which would mean they're sitll -human- but just that Psynergy affects them somehow. Must be some weird genetic thing, what has to do with Jupiter Adepts. |

When did it ever say that beastmen used to exist? All I saw was that they were a new phenomenon after the Golden Sun. |

Well, if we consider the werewolves from Garoh to be related to Beastmen, then they have been existing for a while. Ending spoilers!

I suppose it's possible that Maha is the father of Sveta and Volechek, but I do believe that Kraden mentioned meeting their father when the Warriors of Vale made the trip to Morgal for the first Mountain Roc feather. |

Newsflash: It's been 30 years since TLA. It could be that the father is an someone we never met. |

I had the same thought about Maha being the father, but Kraden specifically says they met getting a Roc feather, not on their original travels. Plus, I think it's mentioned somewhere that most of the Morgal beastmen were from Angara itself. |

This revelation virtually guarantees Amiti will be back in GS4, since no sane writer would pass up that kind of "Amiti, I am your father!" opportunity. |
