It's not about team optimization so much as "Why does everyone like Sveta so much? Maybe I should give her a second chance..." Well I did. I wasn't impressed. In fact, I'd rather have Karis there for backup healing - I found several instances in that fight where another healer would have helped a lot. Sveta seems good for pretty much just brute force. In endgame battles, you rarely, if ever, have an instance of a single character needing healing due to AoE spam, so she's pretty much an attacker like my Matt is. I figure I'd have to totally rework my team to get her to work well... But one thing I did notice - she's great vs a crowd. Compared to the best Matt could do - shuriken - she did more damage consistently. Unfortunately, that inverted the second she gets deluded, though - she hits one foe if she's lucky. So she's great Second Turn crowd control - problem is, without her, YOU CAN STILL CLEAN UP IN TWO TURNS OR LESS. Like I said, having to set up Beast Form just kills her. And in boss fights, she doesn't shine much either. Matt still does the brunt of the damage. If you didn't have to take one turn to change, and could use beastform the turn you selected it, then I figure she'd be much better. But the game is just too easy to need her. Because of that, she just can't live up to her potential. |

What? You know I don't like Amiti very much. Just do what you want, he's not much different than Rief in my opinion anyways. |

Well, the game could really use a challenge boost, so I guess I'll do it. I'll focus on Luck too, to prevent Stun and Instadeath guaranteeing my loss. I won't even think of trying Ancient Demon or Dullahan though. XD Star Magician and the Ogre Titans COULD be possible. Maybe. Problem is, the final boss would be... pretty much impossible. =/ |

He's a mercury adept, so it's not hard at all! ![]() My Rief has ~43 Luck, and never, EVER, gets pegged by ailments. Only the 100% guaranteed agl drop hits him. |

Yeah, easy to get a 130% Luck class and I'll pile Luck-boosting Djinn onto him. Maybe if I levelled to 99 before the final boss it could be possible. I doubt it though, it just does too much damage. Aren't one of its attacks Summon-style? |

His dark version of Cruel Ruin, his version of Outer Space... yeah. Also, grab that Iris Robe! +15 Luck is nothing to shake a stick at! Pure Mage looks to be a powerful class for him if you use it. An alternative is to use the Hermit class. Both should be really good, just make sure you focus the luck on, and remember - using djinn in a SCC run may not be the best of ideas. Thus the luck focus - if you don't have to use Clover or Dewdrop, GOOD. Make sure you're able to heal yourself, though. May want to stock up on healing items, because classes with single healing are annoyingly hard to come by, so area healing may not be enough since you're guaranteed to be the target. I'd suggest Ranger, but Wish heals more... I really don't think you should use base classes since you'd be more limited in what you can get by tweaking djinn, due to being restricted to a single element. |

In response to Role: I just use Sveta because I like her design. I never cared about the character stats in the first 2 games as well, just used who I liked. This ain't a competitive Pokemon game anyway where stats matter in the long run and the game is considered to be easy and stuff. Just like I used Gau in FF6 even though everyone hated him due to his Rages not able to be canceled unless you kill him off first and then revive him. He's just soooo cute and adorable. |

Gau is pretty insane given a good setup actually. And Stray Cat rage gives him a physical attack with a massive multiplier pretty early in the game. |

This. Also, Wind God Gau is awesome. It's basically setting him up so that he unleashes Wind Slash with his attacks several times in one turn, I believe. |
