My team at the end game was basically Team Royals. Amiti, Himi, Sveta, Eoleo. Ordered like Himi, Eoleo, Sveta, Amiti. Amiti was a healer, Himi was the tomegathericon-class, Eoleo was a Disciple(HOLY SHIT THAT ATK MODIFIER), and Sveta was in her grappler class. I had no issues surviving the final boss without having to defer to my second team at all. |

As much as it sickens me to agree with Reapist, yeah Tyrell is pretty funny. Anyway, if I were to list the characters in order I like them, it'd be (design, character and battle ability are all considered): 1) Amiti 2) Karis 3) Eoleo 4) Matthew (has no character, but a great design and incredible fighting skill) 5) Sveta 6) Tyrell 7) Rief 8) Himi Don't get me wrong though, I love them all! I actually like this game's cast a lot more than GS1 and 2's overall, personally. |

I would have to say Amiti. In terms of power, if you level him right, he can be one of the fastest and strongest in yor team. I also figured out (it really wasn't that hard to figure out) that Amiti is the son of Alex, which probably explains his natura power as a water adept. |

My character preference order 1. Sveta/Eoleo 2. Karis 3. Everyone else 4. Rief Rief was pretty boring IMO. I even found Himi more interesting. Seriously. |

I would agree hakurei, except for the fact that later oyou train reif well enough, he is a more powerful healer than karis and amiti. I found reif very useful actually, infact, i would have lost a lot of battles without him. He's still ranked 5 with me. Matthew is my 2nd, tyrell is my 3rd, and sveta is my 4th |

Karis is my absolute favorite I keep flip-flopping with Tyrell. I think most of the things he says are kind of mean/stupid, but then he'll go and say something that's exactly what I'm thinking. I liked whenever Rief and him disagreed. Rief, I like as a character, but I can't stand the way he looks. I felt bad for booting him out of my party as soon as I got Amiti. I liked Amiti and Sveta. But honestly, my favorites were Isaac and Garet at the beginning of the game. Garet and his amazing mustache. I LOVED seeing Garet berate Tyrell. The best part part was when Garet said he could read Isaac like an open book, then pausing and saying "Well sometimes it's a really thick book."

I'm still a big fan of Himi. I'm a fan of her two playable classes – 9Ve Standard and 7Ma2Ve Dual. I really like her Weapon Grace Psynergy. One of my standard strategies in any Golden Sun game, regardless of Break, is to beef up my adepts' attack stat with High Impact, and dish out heavy melee damage. I recently fought Sentinel with this strategy in mind, using Ivan and Sheba to beef up Isaac's Sol Blade Megiddo, which was optimised for unleashing. So, Dark Dawn comes along, and says, "High Impact doesn't Impact as much as Impact does – it just spreads the Impact around. But if you Impact a single character, or Weapon Grace that character, you can beef him/her up to ridiculous levels." So, Weapon Grace quickly became my best friend in late-game. Weapon Grace on Matthew, Matt attacks. Weapon Grace on Sveta while she transforms, then send her into mauling mode. When she runs out of Djinn, No Worries! Switch her out for Excalibur-wielding Tyrell, and Weapon Grace him. He's slow enough. She also gets Revive REGARDLESS OF DJINN COUNT in her core class. And her unique Psynergy line – the Dragon line – is very sweet and very powerful. Not to mention Nettle always having been one of my favourite Venus Psynergies, despite its under-usage. And her use of Cure, of course. Her utility Psynergy? I was happy she got Move. Continuity, y'know? Uzume, Susa, and Kushinada all have Move. Takeru better have Move as well. Not too useful, since Matthew has Move, but hey. Some repeats are good. Sveta has Whirlwind, just as Karis does. At least it's not like Mind Reading, Revealing, Whirlwinding clones, where you pick your favourite of two Jupiter adepts (or Retreating, Moving, Clone-Knights). This game avoids clone-itis, despite having four of them. Mechanically, Matthew, Karis, Tyrell, and Rief all differentiate from their parents, even though they share the same classes. But, I digress. Himi's Search Psynergy is necessary to do most of the rest of the game after she's found. Most people say this is lame, because she's like a McGuffin. I say there's a very important plot point. Remember that Amiti joined in only because the Insight Glass chose him. Perhaps Alex manipulated this a bit (made a child with the Ayuthayan princess so that she would beget an Ayuthayan adept, thus leading to him being chosen for the Insight Glass so that he'd help the Children of the Warriors of Vale, so that they'd unknowingly do his bidding.) But the point remains that we get Amiti, Sveta, and Eoleo for their Psynergy, just like Himi, even if 'more plot' ties them down. I think Himi's visions are interesting, and the the story of the Yamata Ruins imparted here is too – especially its ties with the Dancing Idol and the Yellow Orb both. |

Good points, Gwydd. Although, on the Impact and High Impact note, were you implying High Impact boosted as much as Impact in the first two? Because Impact has always been a 25% boost to one, and High Impact a 12.5% boost to all. |

Of course, my favourite favourite character was the Persimmons Girl, now a Middle-Aged woman in Kolima Village who lives in the tree with the Shop and has you save the Dream Tree. |

Yes, Jill, that was her name. Too bad they never said her name in DD (I temp forgot the name since I've been away from GS1 for a while), but they definitely made a clear reference that that was her in Kolima Village. Jill was one of those characters that were just enough in the game (optional side-quest, interesting dialogue and concept, quite rewarding but not required gift) that made her extremely memorable. "I will think of you whenever I eat persimmons." I love that line. |
