It's still a pretty good game, but seriously, it feels almost nothing like the other two games. Weyard is almost a completely different world this time around (well, what little we get to explore of it). I'm at the Craggy Peak Ruins, and the whole Ayuthay/Kaocho thing reminds me more of Final Fantasy than Golden Sun. I dunno, I guess I just loved the first two games so much (especially TLA) and my standards are thus pretty high. As I said, I'm really enjoying the game, but something doesn't feel quite right. So far though, I doubt I'm gonna like it more than GS1/2. |

This can't be a good sign. And my temptation is starting to get the better of me. *Is buying my own tomorrow and playing it on my girlfriend's DS* |

Actually, it's more or less after the first roadblock that it starts to feel less like Golden Sun and more like some random JRPG. I think I only just passed the second point of no return though, so I have no idea about the rest of the game. The first part of the game still has a pretty big GS feel. |

Bah, I think I just need to take off my nostalgia goggles and stop expecting another GS2. |

It's still Golden Sun. You're just being a huge baby and not accepting it. *nodnod* |

Starting to agree. Must not let nostalgia influence my opinion on this game. |

The one thing I will say is that the names of locations in this game sound a lot more . . . "made-up" compared to the previous games' names. Like they just picked random syllables to throw together. Though maybe they're all loosely named after real places again and I just haven't realized it yet. |

It does feel a little bit different, but not so much that it doesn't feel like Golden Sun. I think it's great. |

I'm not too far along the game yet, but did anybody else get the first impression of "HOLY SHIT DJINN EVERYWHERE EVERY TWO MINUTES"? >_> |

It would make sense to get that impression. The game is about the length of TBS and there's the same amount of djinn as TLA and TBS combined. More if you count certain ones certain characters have that you can't actually get. |

Meh, it's difficult to ignore some of this game's flaws, although what I described isn't a flaw, it's just something that takes getting used to. The game is still awesome despite its flaws, though. >_> |

Yah, Weyard feels so strange now to me....so many new towns and villages have popped up that I don't know barely any of the lay of the land now....... |

There's actually a commercial I've seen a few times that may lampshade this. "Use your djinn responsibly." |

Iunno about you guys (and I haven't played this yet), but the openendedness of TLA compared to GS1's more linear storyline made those two games feel distinctly different from each other too :U |
