In a masterpiece of bad game design, Camelot has made most of the game's items and Djinn permanently missable - there's no backtracking to many areas. Just a heads-up that you may want to use this mostly spoiler-free FAQ. *restarts after four goddamn hours* |

I'll make sure to explore every nook and cranny of every area before leaving it, then. |

Tinder is unmissable. On the other hand, BRICK, DEWDROP, GEARS, FURROW and SPOUT are the easiest ones to skip with little warning. |

I'm gonna play through missing whatever I end up missing the first time, then go back through it a second time, I think. I'm usually pretty thorough though, |

It's not bad game design, it's teaching you to not skip over unimportant bits. |

Venus Djinn: Essentially Lil' "Stop hitting yourself" Mold 's Cousin. You know, in contrast to the most common complain tending to be pre-endgame easiness, I think the chance of missing Djinn adds a [title= should we expect "Low Djinn Run" challenges in the future?...]layer of difficulty[/title] given they're the core of the class system... |

Well, nobody's stopping you from getting everything and then just leaving them on standby without summoning. |

But Astra, I would call that Fake Difficulty than actual challenging design. It's the lazy way out to try and justify it that way. I wouldn't really call it a huge fail on Camelot's part if the story is progressed as a result, but huge Lost Forevers like that tend to just annoy me. Either way, warning has been given so if you care for that sense of completion on your first playthrough, look out for that. Thanks for the heads up. |

I hear there are two points of no return, and before one of them Karis outright says "we might not be able to come back," so the whole situation is not that bad. |

Glad to see they only throw you under the bus's daily route. You'd have to wait for the bus to get actually run over. |

Actually, Crash, there are three of those if you include the first meeting with Blados... The other blockades has personal bonus points for having two of my most loved dungeons close to them, by the way: Spoiler: click to toggle

Inability to back-track and visit previous areas is a stake in my heart that makes me cry and cry Q_Q Don't have the game yet, but being unable to backtrack makes me so sad. ;_; |
