One of the comments points out that we have yet to see Mr. Carver's right hand and that, 4 pages back, his writing on the chalkboard looks kind of like he's trying to substitute his nondominant hand in. |

Yeah, Kat's face is fantastic. Speaking of faces, I think something else is wrong with Dr. Carver here, the left part of his mouth looks kind of puffed up or distorted? |

Shit Adnarel, that's a stupidly good recall you have there. Zimmy punching her dad corresponds exactly to that puffiness in his lip. They're definitely connected. |

Doesn't seem to explain the hand, but idk. :I It's heavily implied that this chapter is real, whatever that means, and I believe that Tony may be recalling the "message his little girl had for him." |

You know, I had been chalking that up to just a weirdness with the art, but it might be indicative of some kind of puff. Huh. |

You know, as a teacher here, I'm kind of agreeing with her dad. >_> |

Well yes, as a teacher, his actions make sense. Embarassing her in front of her classmates and being a right rude [radio edit]nugget to his own daughter? A biiiiit less acceptable. |

Kinda serves Antimony right. Renard's already brought this up to her before, years before, and she shut him up over it. I love it when Renard is right. >_> |

As a teacher some of this is warranted, but the thing with the makeup, and now trying to prevent her from doing her official court duties as forest medium? To me this just confirms that dear Mr. Carver is an asshole who is using his position as a figure of authority to exercise control over his daughter, and that he has a lot of baggage regarding the forest and Surma. Personally I hate parental figures that are absent for most of a kid's life and then waltz right the [radio edit] back in and act like they have a right to have that kind of personal authority. It's easy to forget sometimes that Annie can actually be very timid, and she's probably off balance because wow, wayward father is a teacher at the court. But I am really hoping she and Kat lay into this [radio edit]er at some point. Also, if Satty's theory about the climax of the comic is correct, I'm betting this just drives Annie further into the forest's side of things.
