First run through TLA, I fought the serpent unweakened. I had no idea Gaia Rock could even be climbed until my second play-through, when I tried to get every last item, djinni, summon, etc. Yes it was hard. Not impossible. You just have to blast past the heals. |

Not very hard, honestly. I think I was just a very lucky gamer as a child. I remember playing kotor and making a consoler (sp?) and then beating the game with melee... And then there's WoW... I was a tank. I used a dagger. For some reason I pwned. |

Yeah, you would think so. I still think there was something else... Maybe I actually knew what I was doing. I'm not kidding about either of those, and if I had screens from either, I would share them, but I don't. Don't get me wrong about pwning with a tank, i don't mean i did damage... far from it, i juat meant i was a good tank. i took pride in that. then WotLK came out... ruined the game for me. |

I remember facing off against The Serpent aka Orochi without weakening him. Bad idea. VERY. BAD. IDEA. He kept on healing. And healing. AND HEALING. The way you're supposed to go at him is basically like how that Susanoo story went: Get him drunk up on sake then beat the living crap out of him. And no, I'm not attempting that suicide mission. |

Yeah, this past week, I've been trying to do it again. As of right now, I have tried five different strategies at level 38. I've even gotten pretty close, I think. The one that works best is when I start off with most of my djinn on standby, then use some of my weakening ones, then go all-out at once, then reload as quickly as possible, just destroying it with psynergy. But at that time, I'm so weakened by lack of set djinn, that I get mercilessly pummeled. But everything else, it just heals itself through my attacks. |
