My DS charger had a hole in the cable protecty thing when I got it. had to tie some shit around it to prevent the cable spilling out and to get the charger to actually WORK. I love my red DS Lite though. *Rubbing in moose's face* |

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

I gather that seems to be a common problem with Nintendo handhelds. I've had sporadic function of L and R on all of mine so far. The DS has had the fewest issues, because I take care not to put it in my jeans pocket any more. |

...What the hell is wrong with you? Also for both my GBA and DSL, it's always the L Button that stops working. So now I can't play MegaMan games anymore

My shoulder buttons have survived well on my DS. Unfortunately, my original GBA was not as fortunate. =< |

Well, I have two DSes and my Phat's hinge is half-snapped off, plus the L button barely works. Other than that, it seems to work fine. o_o |

Wow you people must treat your DSes like shit. And yeah I played Spectrobes and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. I play games like them in increments, because the main part of them is collecting and then upgrading the collection. Gets tedious easily in prolonged doses, but fun nonetheless. My brother also got Spectrobes: Origins for the Wii but I have yet to take a crack at it.

This'll be a long one... Basically, this game takes place in a futuristic setting. Your main character, Rallen, and his coworker Jeena live in the Nanairo Star System and have been sent to the planet Daichi to investigate a strange case of black tornadoes sighted around the System. It turns out these are the Planet-Eating Krawl, and only the Spectrobes have the power to defeat them. Gameplay-wise, it's similar to Pokemon in a way. You collect "Spectrobes", who come in three stages: Child, Adult and Evolved. However, only Adults and Evolved Spectrobes can fight. Child Spectrobes fulfill an equally important role, though. They can scout the area to find new Spectrobe Fossils (which you must awaken to get new Spectrobes), Minerals (which improve the statistics of your Spectrobes) and Cubes (which reveal hidden details about Spectrobes). All Fossils that are awakened produce a Child Spectrobe; to evolve them into Adult and Evolved Spectrobes, you must raise them in an Incubator by feeding them Minerals. Spectrobes have three statistics: HP, Attack and Defense. Battling will help them grow, of course. But another way of making your Spectrobes stronger is to place them into an incubator and feed them Minerals. As you feed them the respective Minerals for their stat, they grow, increasing the Spectrobes' Level. It sounds weird but it's a lot of fun. It'd be worth considering getting. |
