Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

So, now we know all the characters, have any of you guys decided who you definitely want on your team based on what we know about them so far/how much you like them?

I'm currently thinking about a main team of:

Matthew
Eoleo
Stella or Karis
Harmony

I'm going with...

Matthew
Stella
Eoleo
Rief

They seem like the perfect team form me, unless Rief(I mean I just don't like him) is all sucky then i'll switch him with Harmony.

I'm going to use all of them equally, switching so that nobody falls too far behind in level.

It depends on how they actually fare in combat, but as far as just judging from what we know...

Matthew
Karis
Harumimianamaneface (AKA Harmony)
Eoleo

So basically same as you =/

This. That's what I did for the first two games.

.......In the games I played the team I wasn't fighting with got exp anyways, so unless they changed it where only the team that actually in the fight got exp then i'll switch them out every once in awhile.

They did get EXP, but they got less of it. Half or something.

IIRC in the first two Golden Sun games the party members that didn't fight only got half of the experience, so while they would still level up, they'd fall behind if you didn't switch out.

...That's stupid, and I hope Dark Dawn doesn't still do that.

EDIT: Ninja'd

I'll be using Matthew, Karis, Tyrell, and Harmony as my main team, and the other as item storage and cannon fodder. It worked for The Lost Age, so I see no reason to stop.
Although...I DO normally group partys together [eg, GS and TLA] so I'm hoping that i get harmony first, but i doubt it, as Rief looks like Kradens apprentice...

I assume you get the characters in the order they're listed on the official site.

In the first game, Mia was revealed before Ivan was.

Depends on the non-base classes for Team Eoleo, as well as the changes in game mechanics that occur. I may actually wind up going with Matt, Terry, Eoleo, and a healer (reflecting Felix, Isaac, Jenna, and a healer from TLA).

I really hope this isn't the case, though.

I'm thinking...

Eoleo
Harmony
Himi
And then fourth slot goes to whoever I actually like the most. I shall strive to use Matthew as little as is humanly possible over the course of the game <__<

So far, I'm gonna be spontaneous with the first run...

But because I don't like playing with the base classes overall, I also hope each member party member have their own class pool...

Based on what we currently know about them:

Matthew
Karis
Eoleo
Stella or Rief

I'm pretty much sold on keeping Matthew and Karis in the party though.

Adachi is not amused.

I haven't planned my main team yet. While I do intend to try and rotate and keep everybody on relative par with one another, it all really depends on how they shape up in terms of character, story, and power before I choose. This is stuff I simply won't know until I start playing.

If we're going to base entirely off looks and element, though? My group would probably be...

Matthew
Eoleo
Karis
Harmony

I'd happily swap Rief, Tyrell, and Stella in and out of that group as needed though. Himi is the only one who gives me a resounding meh feeling from design alone.

Really, though? All I can say is that the only thing that's really very likely is that I keep Harmony in the active party from the first moment he joins and leave him there because hey, he strikes a resounding chord with me as a Mercurian.

For me it'll likely depend on how they play. Though I am leaning towards Matthew, Eoleo, and Harmony. The Jupiter adepts I go back and forth on, I like them both.

Annnnd it bothers me that everyone's saying they switched parties for both games. No you did not, you did so for approximately 1/4th the second game. Majority of GS and TLA had one party. With that, I also very much liked that the second party got half the experience. Until TLA, most games I played had inactive party members gain NOTHING, so the fact that they were getting SOMETHING meant they never dragged TOO far behind, which I appreciated.
