Because the lusii aren't adult trolls. Adult trolls are either off in space or intruding on troll kids' lawnrings on Alternia. A lusus is supposed to be there, the lusus is the guardian, and thus, these twelve wrigglers are NOT. THE. LUSII. |

Your argument that they can't be Lusii is that 'they can't be lusii'? The second four babies were the guardians. Reckoning made it thus. Where do you get off asserting that the reckoning wouldn't make the second 12 wrigglers the lusi? Because the Lusi aren't trolls? What the hell kind of argument is that? They're all made of paradox clone goop anyways. |

I think the point here is that Hussie does crazy shit sometimes and while precedent suggests that they would be lusii, there is literally no way to be sure one way or the other at this point. |

The argument that the can't be lusii would be the same argument that the other for babies John made could not have been deer or festive moose. They're different species. What Karkat made were trolls, and trolls don't grow up to be Lusii. |

Let's look at what we know for a fact and what we don't. Karkat created a total of 24 "wigglers," 12 of which were the known trolls. John created a total of 8 babies, 4 of which were the kids and 4 of which were each related to one of the kids in some way, not necessarily guardianship (Bro and Mom are Guardians, Nanna isn't, Hass may or may not be). Each troll has a lusus, which is roughly equivalent to a Guardian. We know virtually nothing about the lusii, except that they adopt trolls at a young age and help raise them. Thus, it is entirlely possible that the remaining 12 are the lusii, as we do not know that lusii don't grow from grubs. It is also possible that this is wrong. There is not enough information currently available to decisively sway the debate in either direction. |

I dunno about the first Empress, but Hussie has said that the current Empress was the only one to survive the Vast Glub. Also, yeah, it looks like we do have enough information now. I should do stuff like that more often, it seems to prompt updates. |
