When I first read about it I thought there was going to be some development for minor characters, since it's canon. But then I remembered that Equius is a gag character (hussie admitted in a tweet). Hussie himself has said some of the stories are/could be canon, so it's really up to you unless it directly contradicts truths in the main story. Which none of them have so far, I think. These comics have some fun characterization and ideas. Doc Scratch playing Hussie at chess, holy balls.
