And suffers a bit of insomnia, I think. Long story. I don't really feel like telling it, it's just a bit exasperating to relay when that's not really the point. I'm curious if anybody knows some way I could personally be able to help her besides being patient as hell and learning how to cook dinner on my own. That last one is something that may take me a while. I should probably make this post more detailed, but I don't really know what to say and as I said, don't feel like mentioning the entire story right now. Maybe sometime when I don't have packing to do and so on. So yeah, mruuw. Any advice/input in general? Sorry for being vague. |

My dear mother's like that a lot, and I guess this time away from her has put it into perspective. Mostly, be patient, yes, and help with as many things as you can. Don't get in her way, don't annoy her, don't be ungrateful or do anything that could make her feel uncared-for, or thankless. Be someone she can depend on, if only to hear 'I love you' from. Give her hugs. Make her feel important and loved. |
