Ok, how about this then:

The biggest obstical to your movement can destroy entire cities at will.
Are you REALLY going to resort to violence?

Ooooor, how about the Avatar isn't supposed to be a godless killing machine who mows down ordinary people who just want equality? That's the whole point of the conflict, that the Equalists have basically a good, sympathetic goal, and Korra had to learn that she couldn't just dismiss their concerns and had to remember that she was their Avatar too. It's a civil rights struggle, and there's more to it than just fighting.

I don't think the equalist arc will return, simply because good writers try not to use the same macguffin over and over. Story wise they can just say since Amon's disappearance (death) the equalist movement has died down or gone underground. Yeah, it's probably a good thing to revolve the plot around, but they already did that in season 1 (badly). They'll probably just give it a minute of screen time in the first episode and then drop it forever. They seem to be good at that.

Tbh season 1 should've been able Tarrlok, his motivations, and the gradual buildup and development of his character, then season 2 deals with the social aspect of equalists and bending in general while the main characters get closer to Amon, then season 3 is the showdown. All with maybe ~10 episodes. I think that would've made for a waaaayy better show. Short and sweet, but plenty of room for everything. And maybe they could actually refine the retarded romance thrown in for the fangirls.

Yeah, to me it seems really stupid to drop everything about the equalists and the Avatar going towards politics(Korra seems bad with it) looks appropiate. With the comparisions between real life and the Avatar timeline I wouldn't be suprised if politics play a far larger part this time around.

Her dad. Duuhhh.

In fact, I got it. Her dad gets locked up where he broods over the loss of his family until he snaps and goes insane. He breaks out and then dyes his hair, stache, and changes out his monocle for an eyepatch and calls himself Equalizer. In true comic book fashion, Asami will have to hunt him down but swear not to kill him no matter how many he kills. And then somehow Korra and/or Mako does something stupid and gets in the way, and either Asami or her dad dies.

Cue by book 4 it's revealed whoever died didn't actually die and instead hibernated inside an iceberg or something.

Amazing that we have heard almost nothing since last year's Comic-Con. Well it's back again so there's some new info.

The very first Avatar, Avatar Wan, will be seen in this book. Apparently he's from 10,000 years ago, but considering Avatars seem to live over 100 years, that seems pretty short. That would mean there are only ~100 Avatars that ever lived, and it seemed like there were more than that.

More info will come after the Korra panel happening today. I heard that they're showing the first episode of Book 2 there.

Excellent trailer. I'm afraid the appearance of the Library Owl totally stole the show for me though. XD
I forget its name...

You know, I'm...not as hyped for this book simply because the writing for the first book was kinda bad, or at least meh. Either way it doesn't bring me back nostalgia so...not really that excited.

I have confidence that this will blow the previous season out of the water. The pacing for the last one kinda sucked because they planned the series a certain way and then found out they'd be getting more episodes. Having that knowledge going into this season should help them structure things better.

Also, I really hope we see Koh. He told Aang they'd meet again, and while I suppose it's possible that happened between series (or the supplemental material, I tend not to keep up on that for anything) it seems more likely to me that he meant in another incarnation, so why not Korra? Especially since this Book is Spirit and we have spirit action happening everywhere.

I think it'll be better just because, I assume, they'll have to do a good bit of traveling to see all these spirits.
I hated the fact that they were just stuck in a city the whole time in book one.

And yeah, seeing Koh again would be great. That thing was terrifying.
