Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Alright, I've decided. I'm... this pains me, it really does.... I'm... gonna get a PSP. And possibly a PS2. JUST FOR KH 1 AND 2, THOUGH!!!
You don't know what you're missing with the PS2. There are several games worth playing on it.

Check out the Xenosaga series. Doitdoitdoitdoit! And Final Fantasy X.

And Xenosaga.

Did I mention Xenosaga?
Except there are so many better RPGs.

Like Tales of the Abyss.

And Mana Khemia.

And Persona 4.

And Tales of the Abyss.

Shana from Shakugan no Shana?
Yes. Shana from SnS is in this game. Or at least, she was in the Japanese version. There were quite a few other anime/manga/light novel cameos as well.

I'd probably like Xenosaga more if the bosses didn't seem to require ungodly amounts of grinding.

I'll probably stick with Kingdom Hearts, unless something strikes my attention.

I've played Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, and they got me hooked. I wanna play the first two games now.

You must be talking about XS2, since many people find that one the hardest.

Episode 1 is only moderately difficult at a few points (in my opinion of course), and Episode 3 is as easy as most Final Fantasy games are.

Well, if you're getting the system anyway, you might as well check out the other great games it has. Nowadays, PS2 games are really cheap.

Apparently, so are PS2's. I can get a Gamestop refurb for 50 bucks.

Most Final Fantasy games require hideous amounts of grinding in between dungeons. IV comes immediately to mind. :U

Also, huh, Shana's in this? Interesting. And we're not talking Spice and Wolf's Holo, are we?

Yes, Spice and Wolf's Holo. And Index's Index. And Toradora's Taiga. There's quite a few anime/manga/light novel/whatever characters.

I always thought most of them were easy. For example, in VIII, you can get the Lionheart as early as the first disc, and can get extremely overpowered before you even leave Balamb Garden for the first time.

If you're talking about the DS version of FFIV, grinding honestly doesn't help much. Augments and strategy are more important. I started playing that game again today, and I've forgotten how to beat most of the bosses <_<

Adachi is not amused.

Uhhh, but Slash, that doesn't mean they're easy. That just means if you're willing to go and do lots of optional extras which require a considerable amount of time, effort, and grinding - the very things that are being labelled as bad things by most in this topic - then you can make them trivial. But how many people are willing to put in that kind of effort, let alone even know about their existence? I know I sure as hell didn't get the Lionheart in the first disc, even though I learnt how to powergame pretty early.

That said. There are a billion good PS2 games to get, RPGs or otherwise, and the only system currently out that I consider to have a more interesting library is the DS. You can't go wrong, and it's so damn cheap now.

Also, Persona 4 is the absolute number one game you must get if you get a PS2. *sagenod*

In the case of FF8, though, you might as well spam Triple Triad matches because you're going to get destroyed if you don't. That's what I was getting at.

Hope I didn't sound too much like VeghEsther...
