I'M NOT INNOCENT!

At the age of 11 I started going through mild acne. I tried using Clean and Clear and it was alright. It was sort of effective on my skin. However, I never trusted those Proactiv commercials since it is bulls***. It may work on some people but it didn't work on my mom. When I started breaking out, I only get it on the forehead area. The next few years, I started breaking out a lot on the cheeks. It would take about a few weeks until the acne on my cheeks are gone but it leave acne marks. Some of the marks are still there for about two years. I didn't want to try Accutane because I heard it causes major depression. Through out high school, I used AcneFree which is similar to Proactiv but it worked on my skin. It lighten my acne mark and reduced the amount of acne starting to form on my face. I could see the difference on my skin during the first week. Now I use the Clean and Clear oil free cleanser and the Clean and Clear oil free astringent. Both those products are used by my mom and I've been using it for two weeks. I haven't seen any acne popping out. I usually clean my face once every morning. |

Wow... well, I don't do anything with my face. I wash it with a towel and water maybe once every 2 days, but since my bangs are gone, I really haven't had any problems at all with acne, etc. I also use no makeup, except maybe for a rare formal occasion, because I epically fail at putting it on. xD |

I now use a Neutrogena mild soap bar. Also, I went on Accutane for 5 months and it worked great. I think watching my skin clear up counteracted any depression that could have formed. |

Clearasil. Works wonders even if it seems like I have a facial mask on. |

You lucky people blessed with flawless skin. My parents wouldn't let me go see the dermatologist. At least I have to be thankful that my acne isn't that bad. |

My parents put me an Accutane when I was 16 or so. Gets rid of acne by drying your face out something horrible, but it works very well. Seems to have had lasting effects, though; ever since, I've had to carry a stick of chapstick around near-constantly because my lips dry out very easily. Now I just wash myself in the shower by rubbing a bar of soap on my hands and rubbing my hands all over my body. |

Ah yes, I remember always having to carry chapstick or lip gloss in my pockets. If I didn't have something on my lips while on accutane they'd get so dry they'd split open and bleed. It's not a problem anymore though. |

My lips get really dry and I have to carry chapstick. But it's 'cause I'm a dehydrated mofo who refuses to fix it :3 The only acne I get is on my chin, but it goes away fairly quickly. |

I have to apply on some chapstick twice a day to add moisture to my lips. I heard another method that helps get rid of acne that involve eating less in a few days which result to losing weight and feeling weak. I forgot what that method is called but I will look it up. |

It doesn't sound very healthy. And going without food for long periods, then eating a lot afterward to compensate actually makes you gain weight faster than just eating normally. |

I don't know if I'd try that method. Losing weight makes your skin dry out which can get rid of acne but you'd have to be really underweight for that to happen. Doesn't sound healthy to me. ack ninj'd Edited by Jenn-uh, Jul 17 2010, 05:54 PM.

Uh, I tried a whole horrible host of things that never worked, and finally broke down and went to the dermatologist. <o<;; I'm on... uh... Benzaclin and Differin now, whatever those are? My lips don't dry out, but the rest of my face was really bad for a while. Also waxing eyebrows while on the stuff was possibly my worst idea ever, it took off like nine layers of eyelid wtf. D: But yeah, uh, moderately clear-ish? >_< Been on the stuff for about a month now. I don't really expect it to go away until I'm, like, ninety. <o<;; |
