Oh what the hell they just shot Shizuo. AND everyone's still acting like they're in fkin middle school. And is anyone else reading The World God Only Knows? It's ongoing, but it's an interesting twist on the bishoujo visual novel genre and it's getting an anime in the fall. Angel Beats! Oh my god this really is the Matrix. D: Now I'm confused about the shadows. We're implied that they manifest from NPC characters, but one came out of Naoi's shadow. Which is it? Also, doesn't anyone else think that Yuri conceded a bit too easily? I mean, I know she had to compromise her views because of the shadow, but still she headed this brigade like no other and she readily tells her comrades "It's okay if you disappear"? Turns out there is a third party responsible, and it's implied to be Guild. That COULD make sense, somehow, but I need more information to make better sense of it. Of course they shot Shizzy-chan, it's near climax and they need the deus ex machina for suspense. I have no idea what you mean by them acting as though they are in middle school, I actually found it to be quite nice....well, sucks for Kida >_> he's ending up being the butt monkey of everything plot-related, but Anri seem to have resolved her issues for the most part, and Mikado also seemed to have came to the end of his angst(the shutting off of dollars and ignoring of Kida looked more like scheming to me rather than angst) Edited by Tractatus, Jun 12 2010, 01:28 PM.

I kinda feel bad for Kida now. He's the first to know who his friends are and he has degenerated wonderfully. It's almost painful to watch, really.

So I think I can use that to defend the scheming part. I would speculate his ignoring of Kida his way of trying to alienate from those close to him so that they wouldn't get caught up in it. Angel Beats! Where the hell was Matsushita this episode? >_> Seriously, he's just gone, and was neither in the montage nor the SSS meeting, how incredibly suspicious.

I think it's a pretty good series, but unfortunately, it has a huge anti-fanbase (is that even a correct term?) surrounding it, so mentioning you enjoy it usually results in a "weaboo" comment.

As much as I loved his arc after the timeskip, losing the laziness essentially removed the only flaw in his personality. At this point, he's about used up his potential to be an interesting character.
