Member #1,330 Joined: October 20, 2015 Gender: Male Country: #0#	So I just finished watching Code Geass (both seasons), which is normal for me because I'm generally 5-10 years behind on my anime viewing. I was already familiar with it from having watched it on and off during college when it aired on Adult Swim, but I wanted to give it a focused, single viewing from start to finish. It has some problems, such as many of the school filler scenes losing my interest between more interesting episodes (moreso in the first season), but otherwise I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I went back to watch it. It was important to me for personal reasons as well, but I shouldn't get into that here. Haven't decided on what to watch yet. I still have Jojo's to get through, but otherwise I have no preference for what comes next. Kind of want to watch a currently airing show one day, just so I can stop feeling like I'm so behind on everything.

Been rewatching Cowboy Bebop with a friend, it's a lot more fun when you go into it expecting an entertaining show and nothing more as opposed to the "this is the greatest anime ever" hype I had going into it the first time. Vicious is so edgy though, holy shit. Also finally getting around to watching the rest of Ergo Proxy but just starting from the beginning, this show just nails the perfect sense of atmosphere and mystery to the setting, familiar themes for fans of cyberpunk but it definitely has its own spin on things.

I should watch Monogatari second season. I should finish the first season first. God damn linearity. Anime seasons should be a time sphere. Also, Ergo Proxy has all the makings of Asph bait but it failed to click for me when I watched it several years back. I might have to give it another chance.

It nails its setting really well. It seemed like a show that was trying too hard to be DEEP to me at first, but the plot (without getting into the DEEP) and characters alone were enough for me to enjoy the show. However I've done some reading of discussions and it seems like I'd appreciate some of the symbolism and metaphor more on a rewatch. Also lmao expecting Senjougahara to ever get screentime in a monogatari show after they forced her out to make a harem in Bake.
