Triggering Gilgamesh and stealing treasures happens in the manga, but I think for time reasons, that whole sequence was cut. And in general that fight/loligamesh was disappointing. Sometimes it felt like Silver Link was just checking things off a list and then moving on to the next thing. Lol yeah the subs were p bad >zasshu as cur "No one told me to save you" vs. "You didn't ask to be saved" but yeah Rin getting punched up to Shirou was the most QUALITY, I actually lol'd I didn't mind the Blade Works part... apart from the voiceover giving Shirou's version as far as I can tell, and the subs giving Archer's version, which was loool kidgamesh mostly looked nice though, which was cool

They're identical up until "unaware of loss" or whatever vs "have withstood pain to create many weapons". What I was talking about was how he pulls out Berserker's swords for NLBW but then just dashes through the enemies like a flash step instead of, you know, actually animating it. Also uh no, 4 manga chapters in one episode isn't cramming at all, JoJo usually moves at that pace and adapts things just fine. And I don't think JoJo is an exception. The plot/pacing was pretty okay, at least, as far as sticking to the manga is concerned (so if there was a problem with that in the anime, it was a problem in the manga too). Actually I would go as far as to say it's better than the manga in that regard since it's doing all of the big twists all at once instead of a slow build up to nothing. Less disappointment that way. The only problem with the plot adaptation is that Gilgamesh only took over Miyu because Sakura grabbed his weapons so he got pissed. Since that didn't happen here, him taking over her makes no sense. This episode's biggest problem was just that the art and animation were completely shit except for Shirou/Kuro vs Angelica and the special effects on Kidgamesh/Excalibur.

At least they covered everything important though.
