And ofc Rem is just blatant waifubait in every way, and I'm sure Emilia will ultimately come round to the same. Miral made the observation that in these kinds of stories, either the heroine is strong but weaker than the hero (Asuna to Kirito, for example), or stronger but ultimately totally beholden to the protagonist. Especially in this kind of "ordinary guy falls into parallel world/school/fantasy" kind of stuff, it's mostly the latter. At this point, there's not a lot separating Re:Zero from the rest, apart from p good directing and nice animation. Prisma Illya ep 8 Painfully slow episode that was way too heavy on exposition and dialogue, but displacement magecraft is always hype af, and the 'exposition' about the state of the world and the Ainsworth's objective was pretty effectively done! I know some of the shots were borrowed from the manga, like the mud from the breaking world flowing into the Holy Grail, but it was still pretty great. I do like how the Ainsworth's continually throw Ilya's ideals back in her face and point out her hypocrisy. Angelica is still p great From this point on it should be the hype train sans breaks, hopefully we go all the way to the conclusion of this arc

You actually have no idea why I like/dislike things do you Anyway in all seriousness UBW was terrible as an adaptation and a big waste overall By contrast, Jojo part 4 is almost entirely on point so far so just I'm really curious as if they'll keep spoiling this because even being as vague as I can just talking about it would spoil the ending of the Sheer Heart Attack arc using musical continuity. So far, several tracks from Stardust Crusaders, or remixes thereof, were used in moments that focus on Joseph or Jotaro. Thus, I want to see if they go all the way and keep that up with the Sheer Heart Attack arc. If they actually play Stardust Crusaders (the track named that) when Jotaro punches out Kira's shit I'll be so excited aaaaaaaaaaaaa also I need to know what the second ED will be already, if they actually get something like Another One Bites the Dust then this will objectively be the best anime of all time

Granted, in UBW's case they do bend over backwards to make Saber special snowflake, which even I can agree is outright dumb and takes the tension out of a lot of fight scenes, amongst other things UBW does.
