B) I'd let it sit for a while, and then if you want, watch the sequel movie, Rebellion. If you want to jump on the Re:Zero brigade, sure! There's actually a lot of similarities with Madoka Magica, I think. It's also a show that can be difficult to watch, though, but perhaps for different reasons.

Re:Zero ep 21 The white whale fight was so great, this show is still really entertaining despite some of the lol things the writing does, particularly this whole thing with Rem. It's like the author is literally just trying to bait Rem fans only for Subaru to go after the token main girl so much that he forgets to have romance that feels atleast somewhat natural between them. As far as the romance is concerned in this show, it's ironically really not too far off from the harem fantasy tropes it pokes fun of from the start.

I'd take Crusch over Rem any day though Also for all the issues this show has at times, I'm glad it sticks with the iron clad rule that the cool old guy has to be the best character solbowz watch this episode so you can get mad at a certain part that I know will trigger you

heart-under-blade Posts: 36,354 Group: Iris Member #2 Joined: March 20, 2005 Gender: Male Country: #0# True Name: Saturos Theme Song: https://youtu.be/mh5vyvMGhqE	re:zero I meant attitude-wise, since at least Shirou and Saber eventually conclude that they should fight as partners But yeah, overall the tension and battle/strategy stuff was pretty excellent Rem was pretty MVP but ofc gets no praise since she's not a guy B) "I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SNIFF SUBARU" was pretty lol I love how Subaru was told to stay and get healed in the capital and is heroic for defying that and saves the day Rem, with oni-healing, gets told to stay behind in the capital and has to obediently agree [patriarchy intensifies] but yeah, since from here on we're apparently Emilia story again, gotta get Rem out of the picture somehow. Also apparently in the source material Subaru confesses to Rem in this chapter and tells her she can be his concubine after he marries Emilia, but only if Emilia agrees and Rem says she'll convince Emilia For all the author apparently hates self-inserts he's sure doing his best to make this story one of the wish-fulfillment variety

Somehow Subaru always wins and succeeds by doing exactly what a self insert would do.
