In other news, Concrete Revolutio ended and I enjoyed it a lot. Seems like the kind of show Satty would like, from what I think of it.

You made a comment about how it only just barely managed to finish its plot, right? Also, I watched ep 5 of Mushishi, so very slowly advancing on that. The structures are pretty predictable, but that's the fairy tale aspect to it, and I still enjoy it for what it is. It's pretty chill and laid back. Also I totally enjoy it more if I mentally change "mushi" to "youkai" and pretend it's a Touhou anime wwwwwwwwww

The show's devotion to its narrative structure and thematic coherency is excessively meticulous. Which is good because I don't think any anime these days comes close to what Concrete Revolutio does, and it means that it plays around with very real and relevant ideas. The writer attributed Watchmen as a major influence on this anime and I can definitely see where he comes from.

Both the premise of "we watch (out for) the watchmen" answer to the "Who watches the Watchmen?" question, and the achronological flashing back and forth premise is pretty cool. Also main heroine is hawt, all those LCD cleavage shots but I ain't even bad the ED is my jam though, both musicwise and animation

heart-under-blade Posts: 36,354 Group: Iris Member #2 Joined: March 20, 2005 Gender: Male Country: #0# True Name: Saturos Theme Song: https://youtu.be/mh5vyvMGhqE	Nagi no Asukara ep 11 The animation is still really pretty, Uroko is still a best, the world/setting is still cool The love web is kind of getting a bit out of control Kaname likes Chisaki likes Hikari likes Manaka likes Tsumugu except actually likes Hikari All these one-way crushes All we need is for Tsumugu to like Kaname and we'll complete the circle Also Miuna crying would have been feels except the animation drew her tears the size of fists, so it came across as a bit comedic instead rip We were thinking/hoping that they'd do the Ofunehiki but then it doesn't work, and then the sea kids or some of them go to sleep, and then wake up with a lot of time passed on the surface - Tsumugu is now the old grandfather, Miuna and Sayu are moms, etc Or even better, the kids wake up at different rates, so like let's see Manaka wake up still a kid and see Tsumugu a grandfather Let's see Manaka and Hikari wake up and see Chisaki and Kaname married, and Chisaki has to deal with her old crush coming back, but oh he's still a kid so no worries We'll see Also I realized the ED is about sleeping, with the timer, and all the saltflake snow >implications
