I had trouble identifying with the characters in the first episode. But the white-haired dude is the best Kamina tribute I've seen in a long time, and the characters are really compelling and interesting. They make everyone worth caring about. It's also just an interesting concept and a refreshing new take on the metaseries.

The trade-off is it's not as hype, which was what the original was made for. Also, Aqours are going to make Summer great again.

I'm hoping they atleast do something to switch it up with the story later or possibly improve upon the original in some way(not having Nico is a good start). At the end of the day I'll probably still enjoy it even if I'm completely disappointed, such is the power of idols.
