This week's girl is cute. Wonder when she's going to start eating people? Oh, wait, it's going to be a snake arc, isn't it? What has it been so far? Snail-Monkey-Snake...am I missing one? Pretty interesting conceit upon which to base the first part of a series. Oh, so that's probably how the white-haired cat girl figures in. HER I have seen before I knew what this show even was. Did I just catch "MASOCHISM"? Ah, they're not being subtle at all with this snake motif, are they? Not a knock against the show, by any means. Bake's been good about that so far. Also, I wonder how long after the Monkey arc this is? Nice that they left it a bit ambiguous. Color scheme is really good in this early scene, even with inverted palettes. Especially with inverted palettes. Base Shaft. omg this Animal Crossing music Is it bad that I don't really care about the Araragi/Senjo thing? I feel like it is. It's events and scenes peripheral to that that interest me most. But then, that's usually how it is in anime for me. Romance does zero for me unless a.) I'm writing it and b.) there is no b.) "She's like a manga character." Araragi's neck is capable of great feats. "Seems they were there to worship a Snake God." See, that's what I mean, about how this show plays with its motifs. And by that I mean it bludgeons the viewer over the head with them. Glasses girl is a mega-troll. I think she 100% gets how Arararagi works. Sorry to admit: I zoned out during the entire Araragi/Glasses-girl conversation. "Magic/Occult." Okay, yeah, let's GOOOOOOOO Though we're pretty much already there. Araragi, it'll seem like a creepy pick-up line no matter what you do. Oh, so this is a younger girl? How long before Araragi bodyslams her? "Yare yare." I have anime PTSD. "Time to look for the porno mags." Nah, they're ingrained into his psyche. You don't have to look very hard. Araragi-yen got a LOL out of me. I like how monkey-girl is in this battle stance when snake-girl gets all risque on us. Araragi approaches Lyner-ness from the other direction. Asphodel This week's girl is cute. I feel like this will get me in trouble with the Pls Crowd. Commenting in this style strikes me as lazy/noncommital but with a show like this I think it's more fun this way. Either way, I still dig it. It's probably trolling or is objectively bad but that kind of thing just flies over my head, doesn't it?

Walkure is so swag. I hope Macross Delta becomes the new show that everyone here randomly ends up watching like Symphogear was. and yeah, Code Geass was definitely a roller coaster, at times I felt like it would've been better off without the high school setting in the first place since it can be hard to take seriously, but its hammy over the top-ness has its own charm too. Play by play reactions are great, Asph, I approve.

I think it's also supposed to only be 12/13 episodes which hopefully means it won't have any boring plot arcs like Attack on Titan did. Supposedly the studio making it has a penchant for making series that take a dip in quality after about the third episode though so I'm a little bit wary.

So is the animation style, looks like it'd be a fun movie. expected kids' movie, got marxist parable about how shitty capitalism is No but shitposting aside, this movie was pretty great! Almost no dialogue... which was good, because it's actually a Brazilian movie in Portuguese and there were no subtitles at all. >_> It's super keyed into Brazil's contemporary history and life there, it seems, so I'm curious what you would think of it, Reimu Also it seems the actual title is Boy and the World, except ofc in Portuguese
