Another four chapter episode, if they keep up this pace the anime should finish at the end of the Boros arc, which I think would be perfect

Oikura is kind of a shitty character, I feel like her "hate everything" is a bit over-the-top and cartoonish, buuuut it's interesting seeing what two years of isolation may've done to her. And I can see she's going to be used to explore more of Araragi's backstory and the reasons why he's the way he is.
And she works well with Ougi's character, between her hatred of people/things that don't know the reasons for why they are who they are, coupled with Ougi's obsessive resolving of things.

It was good to see best girl Senjougahara make an appearance. Just the way she just effortlessly acts like she's above Oikura, and her immunity to Oikura's insults. Senjougahara is probably the closest Monogatari has to a self-actualized person with no real weaknesses to exploit (though her past with Kaiki might be one).
Seeing Senjougahara return Oikura's slap with a full-on punch was amazing, and it was cool seeing Senjou herself looking kind of shocked at what she did.

It's also great seeing the continued evolution of Ougi's creepiness, and Araragi's increasing awareness of said creepiness. That he when he's "up against" Ougi, he just tells the whole truth without being aware of it, and only realizes it afterwards. Really hints at Ougi's nature as a force of order or whatever, puppeteering people and so on.
And Ougi being like "Oh I don't remember elementary or middle school, in fact I feel like I'm newly born" was such an "I knew it!" moment, under the theory that she's some kind of cosmic force or incarnation. I think that's pretty much confirmed, but I love the way Nisio has slowly hinted at more and more of that: first Ougi just appearing as an eccentric and extremely philosophical niece of Oshino's, then at the end of Nadeko's arc the revelation that she might have set those events in order, then the revelation that Oshino Meme is an only child, then Ougi's random gender-switching in Hanamonogatari, then the bombshell at the end of Tsukimonogatari that Ougi was the one orchestrating that entire scenario there - and then, going from how she loves order and "natural purpose," from context/her creepy eyes, connecting her to the black void that struck both Shinobu and Mayoi. And of course, Owarimonogatari here is really pushing that development to the point where the characters can put it together for themselves.

It's a bit strange that Araragi hasn't confronted Ougi about the Tsukimonogatari stuff, but I think he's kind of anti-confrontational and trying to deny that reality in general (though he definitely doesn't consider her an ally, between the "against Ougi" comment and basically being aware that she trapped him in that classroom). And I think all this stuff about Araragi confronting his sense of justice and his origins, what he's been rejecting or hiding, will ultimately culminate in a confrontation with Ougi.

Also, calling it now: the ruined Western mansion is Oikura's house, and he used to go there all the time to visit her back in junior high. But something happened between them and so etc.
It's a bit unfortunate and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm sure Oikura is going to end up being some kind of tsundere, especially given the quadrupletails she has going on. She's pretty clearly jealous of Araragi and seems to resent Senjougahara as well.

On that note, I liked how Araragi tried to deal with Oikura as if there was no problem at all and being exaggeratedly friendly, which really just betrays his own nervousness and discomfort. Both the voice actor and Shaft's animation expressed that pretty well, between the discolour and body language.

Also, good to see I read the last episode correctly, that Oikura must have known who the real culprit was. And it's good that the author made it explicit if people didn't get it the first time.

Anyway, looking forward to next episode, ofc!
