Ugh yes, at first I thought it was a great melody, then after the 50 thousandth time it's like jfc I get that it's plot relevant but you don't have to sing it in every episode multiple times. It's okay though. Ranka makes up for it by flying into the middle of a battlefield singing Seikan Hikou in a variable fighter strapped with speakers, effectively "disarming" the Zentradi there. |

It's not that the content itself was unnecessary in any means, it's just that my perception of how time progresses through the episode feels stretched. Maybe I'm just not used to people having such deliberately paced conversations in anime, and the stiff animation certainly doesn't help in that regard. Continuing with more first episodes, Aquarion Logos seems like a huge miss. You know those kinds of shows where you can't tell whether you should be taking a setting seriously like the characters are? I feel as if Logos is the Captain Earth to EVOL's Star Driver in that regard, if that made any sense whatsoever. |

That actually makes a surprising amount of sense. And I haven't even watched Logos. Also, is Aimo Frontier's Planet Dance? |

TLR Darkness' second season has garbage art, wtf happened. Between that and the censorship, I think I'll skip this one for now and watch it when the BDs come out when, hopefully, the art will have been touched up as well. At least the OP and ED are good. Watched Charlotte as well. The MC is a ripoff of Lelouch so far lol |

I endured it for a little longer but it was played enough that by the time the "battle version" had rolled around I just wanted to put the show on mute for the duration of the song. It's like if you took something like Ar Tonelico, removed the wide selection of Hymmnos tracks and replaced them all with 1 song that's only 1:30 long.
Is Planet Dance an overplayed magical plot relevant song? Then yes.
I hope Xebec's just saving their budget so they can make their other shows look better(like Fafner). |

Prison's cool, I guess. The humor reminds me of Detroit Metal City in terms of exploiting inappropriate topics and the comedic timing, but it's definitely going for a campy, dramatic angle with the delivery. There's a lot of golden one-liners and hilarious/distressing jumps in logic throughout the manga and I'm looking forward to seeing how they're all handled, but I definitely understand how niche this will be despite the hype. |

I finished Barakamon, which was good, and Isshuukan Friends, more like Isshuukan Friendzone. Still solid though.

Yeah, like, it was a cute watch, but... There was a lot more that could have been done with the concept and in more creative ways. =/ But I checked it off my list, so there's that at least.

Started watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes, it's impressing me more than I expected "the slow part" to, I'm already liking Yang and Reinhard quite a bit and the battles are engaging. Unfortunately I had something major spoiled for me but I think I can appreciate the series regardless. 7 episodes into it now. Also can't stop listening to the second Frontier op, it's 2good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qWnDqeXMhA |

Yeah, if this is LoGH's slow pace, I'll probably love it even more later. I already kek'd when "Are you frustrated?" came up. I gather that's a regular thing. 8D It reminds me of Romance of the Three Kingdoms in space. I'm only 2 eps in though, I gotta catch up with Silvy. 8D |

Yeah, it certainly has that RotTK feel to it, I think I could go out on a limb and assume the author is a fan of history in general, as it has everything from similarities to WWII to referencing Caesar's assassination. It has influence from real events, but doesn't forget to have that dramaticism to make the story feel more engaging than say, reading a history textbook. I like how the internal conflicts within the Empire and FPA have so much importance within the story, in addition to the war itself. You have political corruption within the FPA's "freedom" and "democracy", but you also see a lot of conflict within the Empire, particularly with its strong honor code. It makes both sides of the war feel pretty fleshed out so far. Spoilers for LoGH ep 7

Nanoha isn't long though, unless you're talking about the whole franchise, which is "long". Also yeah, LoGH is "slow" which mostly just means that it gets a lot better after episode 25 or so. Did Satty watch the movie? |

the first season of Nanoha isn't really that great but the second season is legit. Would recommend if you want mecha magical girls, lots of action, and yuri. Apparently the movie that covers the first season is better so you could watch that if you don't mind loli nips, but it does have loli nips. |

Yeah, outside of the transformation scene, the movie of S1 is better than the show, I think. It's also lesbian as hell once it gets going. |
