Pretty over the top at times in the latter regard, but in a good way. It's a harem series, but the protagonist isn't particularly awful or as stupid as most of those leads and it avoids fanservice most of the time. The manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, so it obviously can't be like [insert ecchi harem flavor of the season here]. Spoiler: click to toggle Except the magical girl spinoff, there be nipples there It's (literally today's) latest scandal in the animu watching world. Kyubey's face also cameos in the anime like twice.

He is more tolerable than most of them though, I guess.

So many scenes of just people sitting silently in a room with the soundtrack doing the work of dramatic engagement/narrative. I can dig it.

It's a hypercharged mix of reaction gifs and cheesecake, and lots of blushing and misunderstandings and the MC density of a sun. I personally only read the manga since I find no point in Shaft's usual gymnastics. I'd recommend it as long as you're not invested in the relationships. Or embroiled wars on who is best girl (because they all suck except for Shu). Or watching good shipping fodder anime like Euphonium.

Ignoring that, though, Super Saiyan predates the part of DIO's World that was in this episode by about a year anyway. Also Super Saiyan looks the way it does because Toriyama considered coloring Goku's hair in to be too much work. It's literally white without shading when it first shows up in the manga in the non-color pages and I think maybe some of the color ones as well?

It would continue a pattern of female characters in Sidonia playing second fiddle to the lead harem protag, or being killed off for their development (see: Hoshijiro in S1, though that was handled reasonably well). Especially since we've spent at least as much time with Izana as with Nagate. But there have been a lot of death flags, and now with DRAMA I'm really worried that the show's writing will go for the extremely obvious and cliche plot development. I really enjoy the dynamic/relationship between Nagate and Izana, too. ;~; Also, Tsumugi this episode was hilariously lol with the "Would yu like to fly with me?" and all the hoots and catcalls from the other Gardes.
