Yeah, that's all there is to it, sadly. I'm hoping there'll be more in the future but I don't know how well it sold/what the status of the LN is. |

I was actually going to talk to you about it after watching the last episode, 'cause I recognised a few frames from Mao's face as being one of your avatars a while back. |

Volume 1 of McSatan sold extremely well and the rest of them sold horribly, so anything could happen. |

I'm half tempted to grab the light novels, but I realised that it's more the animation and the facial expressions and sheer absurdity of it all that gives McSatan its draw, so I dunno if I'd be as entertained by a light novel. |

As far as I know, they're not translated. Baka-tsuki basically just goes up to the same point the show stopped at. |

Aldnoah isn't even as close to being as bad as Rail Wars though. It's mostly just mediocre with some really bad parts. |

Which is worse, Aldnoah Zero or Psycho-Pass 2? This is mostly at Simple, I guess. Which is ruining Urobuchi's ideas more? 8D |

Yeah, Yona's design is great, especially when she has shorter hair. The first opening fits the series so well, but the second isn't bad either. The first opening is pretty refreshing to hear since it's instrumental as well. and yeah, Akiko Shikata is great so dat second ending theme is the best.
Well, one takes Urobuchi's already fleshed out characters, setting and themes, utterly curb-stomps them and adds some new characters and conflict an attempt to make another season. The other one is literally them taking Urobuchi's junked ideas(well, he couldn't invest himself in the characters to want to continue writing I think) and trying to go somewhere with it. |

If the common thing in shows based on Urobuchi's ideas is Urobuchi and the staff is mostly different and the shows generally aren't good then I think we can come to the conclusion that Urobuchi ruins Urobuchi's ideas. |

That doesn't even make sense. Also it falls apart even more considering most of the things Urobuchi was heavily involved with tend to be good. |

Well Bowz, like I said in those two cases it's something Urobuchi isn't involved with, but rather taking the work/setting he had already created (dunno how much of Aldnoah he did, but he didn't write it) and then herping around. Psycho-Pass is pretty great, but Urobuchi isn't involved in S2. And Aldnoah, as Silvy said, just is some idea that Urobuchi didn't think was worth developing. also >forgetting about fate/zero |

I attribute Fate/Zero's success to the framework Nasu already had in place. Also I only responded the way I did because your post seemed to imply that you were surprised Aldnoah is bad because it had Urobuchi's name attached to it. |

Where are you fuzzy little man-peachs getting the idea that Aldnoah was just Urobuchi's junk as an excuse to it's problems? Unless he's actually said that somewhere. That said a lot of the bad things in it weren't even his ideas anyway to begin with. Also, he was involved with just the first three episodes. Also F/Z may have been Nasu's world but he literally gave Urobuchi free reign to do whatever he wanted so long as he created no plot holes, and Rider was entirely his creation beyond being Alexander the Great, which Nasu had planned since before F/SN was released. Also Madoka sucks. |
