Index is much much worse in the second series IMO the plot is already sparse due to the copius amounts of terrible horrible terrible terrible fanservice, but even the plot-relevant scenes are dull and repetitive. bluhhhhhhhhhhhh do not want

Madoka Kyubey doesn't care about anything so long as he meets his quota. And so far, he's outsmarted her at every opportunity, especially now that she's all alone. Every time she rewinds, Kyubey loses the memory of things just like everyone else. And considering that all he needs to do to fill his quota is get Madoka to be a witch, he has no reason to care about Homura.

I do like the charm they tossed in with the contrast between Wako and Keito, as well as Wako and Sugata. Wako's seal should probably break in the next ep, I don't exactly see how they can pull off other wise. It's very easy to see that Wako is very afraid of change, always avoid talking about the future and topics regarding choosing between the two. While Sugata is always waiting for her decision, always wish to embrace change. I like how the writers tossed in the contrast with Head and Columner and Wako's constant gesture to forbid Sugata from doing things, all done deliberately to mislead us into thinking of him as power-hungry. It's character portrayals are amazing, if you can just look past that minor Mecha detail.
