The way they left out frames in his animation sequence to make him have this creepy jolting motion is super uncanny valley. oh lel it's bad guy dude, I didn't even recognize him. What an edgelord, smoking a pipe made from what's-her-face's thigh/shoulder-bone. - Akane has huge balls and it's fantastic. Her shouting down Ginoza was great, I was basically like "awww shit! AW SNAP!" the whole time. Still enjoying the show, let's see if it can keep it up. EDIT: I just watched 10 and 11 CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP ep 11 Kinda sad to see Akane lose her nerve, but I guess a little bit of problems will be a good bit of character development. It'll be neat to see where it goes from here, especially since her faith in Sibyl's system is shaken atm as well, since Makashima is basically a psychopath. You'd think this kind of stuff would have come up before. Makashima's crime coefficient decreasing the whole time was a little bit of strained disbelief, unless, I guess, he did believe that he was on the cusp of doing something really good. Still, as pls as he is, Makashima's dialogue is pretty kewl. I'm always a sucker for the super philosophical masterminds type, so long as there's not too much bullshit.

There was nothing in ep 0 that made me think she's tsundere at all, except for maybe a couple lines with Archer. She's unapproachable because she's distant, not because she's hostile. Her character seems to be established more as a distance because of her status as a magi and dedication to a passion that she can't share with anyone. Like, she shows no hostility at all to the other girls in her class, shows a very controlled and tempered anger towards Shinji, and thinks Shirou's awkward as [radio edit]. Even with Archer, she doesn't get hostile towards him until he pushes her buttons extensively, and it turns into a mutual banter after they establish themselves to each other. That said, I like her a lot so far, and I thought this was a much better intro than F/Z's. The main criticism I have is the "As you know, Bob..." moments. I understand the information needs to be conveyed, but the manner they did it (most notably the scene in Tohsaka's study) came off awkward. I'll keep watching until Shirou pisses me off too much again.

As for the school, she literally puts up a front to the people in class, and when Shirou finds out what she's really like in private it shocks him compared to the image she put up.

Entertaining, cool and the humour doesn't detract from the more serious moments. Akatsuki no Yona had a decent first episode, typical premise but nice art, music and I'm interested in how the MC will develop. Madan no ou to Vanadis didn't have much of a positive impact on me. Looks like it's going to be another half-assed LN adaptation and it rushed through things way too fast for my tastes. Didn't know this was going to be ecchi/harem, but those elements felt horribly out of place when the main character was just on the losing side of a war 2 seconds ago. Atleast the opening theme was good and the main girl was cute. Favourite openings? I have a lot but some that I really like are Serial Experiments Lain, the first opening of Mirai Nikki, Higurashi Kai, Bokurano, and Fafner in the Azure.

Out of nowhere I was surprised to see that Madhouse just started working on the anime adaption. So I just saw the first episode. I've forgotten how the story goes so that's nice. I was ok with it and I'm going to enjoy it. Very nice animation as well.

There was some atmospheric choir in the beginning and at the "next episode" thing so I hope we'll hear more of that once the story really gets going. The most important question though dicku Will it be animated?

I wonder if she herself isn't one of the psychopaths with a hue that can't be clouded. I hope her "shikata ga nai" attitude is ultimately the reason, though I wouldn't be surprised if Makashima attempted to persuade her otherwise later. I really like characters who are an emotional anchor. Some bombshells about parentage this episode. - I love the way they just casually revealed that Masaoka is Ginoza's father. That's a nice additional dynamic, and while it verges on the cliche, I think by making it so non-obvious and background it's a nice subtext. The show doesn't make a big deal of it, it's just a reality. - That stinger at the end with boss lady staring with freakout eyes at Makashima, then calling him "Shogo-kun." And with that shot of her and his face on the computer screen, it made me realize that they look pretty damn similar. Is she his mother? Judging by her reaction, they definitely have some sort of relationship. Maybe Makashima saw behind the curtain at all the "dirty little secrets" that Sibyl has, and that's why he's just [radio edit]ing things up? We'll see, we'll see~ Urobuchi continues to deliver.

Prepare flame shield~ I'm not really sure what to think yet. It doesn't help that most of the first season is filler, from what I've heard. At least most of the girls are fairly attractive so far, I didn't care for most of the ones in DxD.
