It seems fairly obvious that they're not going to include most of the story from the original, and will probably largely be about Marie and the extra scenes. That's somehow even worse than I imagined. Also Airi's post was so edgy I accidentally got a papercut when I was reading it.

As soon as I heard "envoy of peace going to earth," I knew that she was going to be "killed" as an excuse to invade. Wouldn't surprise me if it was a false flag operation, either. And of course, I highly doubt she's actually dead. 30 years is apparently enough time to become an entirely new "race," notwithstanding that the older folks probably lived on earth. I did like the 2km meteorite strategy of crashing into the major cities, and the animation for the impact was pretty cool. I imagine there's an element of karma in getting to animate an American city getting nuked, too, since that's pretty much what happened to Hiroshima/Nagasaki. <_< not sure how accurate this is, but here's how much damage a 2 km meteorite would actually do, though I'm assuming they controlled their speed of descent to only take out the city. Princess Verface is a cute, though. Still like her character design.

Some great animation and attention to detail (not often you see a full mouth of individual teeth in anime, rendered with that kind of loving ink. muh themes of hunger). Cast of characters is interesting, and I like the dynamic between MC and Rize. Koka or Toka or whatever her name is is best girl. Her body language just kind of exudes power and dominance, like she's totally in-control but still deferential to her superior. also COFFEE IS LOVE COFFEE IS LIFE

Looks like we'll be seeing Dr. Ver 2.0 next episode. Animation remains great in this show and I love how they're emphasizing the struggle of what the MC is going through, tis serious business.
