Welp, that certainly was Mekaku City Actors ep8. Got some new info, but this show really just seems to be an extension of the manga/LN/songs and not completely watchable without knowledge of the other stuff. Maybe. 3 episodes in and Akuma continues to be par. The show has a good premise but the execution is just mediocre. It's the definition of generic anime, imo. Although I will say that Hashiri is mad entertaining and Banba is still the best girl, though she hasn't done much other than speak to herself in the corner. Which is still better than the rest of the main cast's obnoxious "omg damsel-in-distress-chan sugoi!" shenanigans. Tumblr gifsets have set my expectations high for her, however. :3 |

Yeah, I watched the first few episodes of Akuma and lost interest in it. Just the premise alone really pushed my suspension of disbelief and the whole try-hard edginess is really off-putting since it would be effective if it was just more subtle with it.
That's good to know, I've kinda fallen behind with it anyways so I'll just read the manga first or something. |

Watched the first P3 movie last night. It was really good and the pacing was spot-on. It focuses more on SEES and the social links take a back seat, but it tells the actual story fairly well. Also it gives Fuuka more screentime, and I liked her a lot more in the film. Makoto is kind of bland though. Looking forward to the second movie. |

Finished The Mystic Archives of Dantalian. Really enjoyed it. It leaves questions at the end, but it was a good series overall in my opinion. ^.^ Also finally got around to finishing Gin no Saji season 2. I love the series, but it can give me guilt trips pretty easily so I was putting it off for a while. |

Protagonist just means "person the story focuses on", so yeah, he is. Waver aside (and Tokiomi and Kariya to an extent) it's not like the other sides are dripping with morality either. |

Ah, you mean the other Gary Stu's harem anime. I think SAO is still worse than Mahouka because Mahouka's badness is a lot more predictable. Oh, everyone thinks Tatsuya is amazing! Oh, conservative talking points! Oh, talking about magic rather than doing magic for the sixteenth time! |

I am less interested in the harem aspect and more interested in how those two win some of those games and pull Lelouch-level planning like that. I don't know how they'll top that last game against the elf |

Yeah that was pretty damn ridiculously well crafted. Now I've been a little off on anime so I don't know what else is good to watch currently. I am a fan of stuff that involves magic and I heard Black Bullet is pretty good. Anything else I should be keeping up with? |
