Penguins are best villains, it's funny, it's hot blooded, it has the best OP theme, it's basically the first old-fashioned super robot anime in the past several years, etc. Meanwhile none of the other shows this season are gripping me all that much so it doesn't have much competition.

The DXD manga doesn't seem worth it since it's based on the anime and I don't think it's even halfway through season 2 yet. Should just read the light novel. The anime has only covered 4 out of 17 volumes so far.

They changed up the story a bit, perhaps not main events but it certainly unfolds differently - which I actually like to see an alternate take on it. It goes by rather swiftly and anyone unfamiliar with the games would sure to be lost but I like it enough. Also they made Albedo even creepier than before. Yikes.
