Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Is it really? That's not what I heard. But either way, this article sums it up: http://ultimatemegax.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/the-reasoning-behind-a-lack-of-haruhi-s3/

Pffft, Kyoani is way too busy doing whatever the hell they're doing(they're doing Chuunibyou now, not sure what next) anyways, God knows if any other studios are actually going to pick it up.

I was too lazy to upload them to Imgur (I don't go to 4chan, I just had the links).

And uploading them isn't working. Meh.

Woah Slash, you can't just leave us hanging like that, especially if it was yuri-related.

Those pictures work fine for me, but I wasn't able to upload them either. Just go watch Sakura Trick. You won't regret it.

Well, there's no new novels because it's finished... >_> And they still have six novels of material, having only used 4 or so. Like I said.
If the series is finished then it's not getting adapted anymore, since LN adaptations are mostly for advertising the LNs. Spice and Wolf still has greater than ten books of material to work with iirc, but won't get a season three because the series is finished.

Yeah that article is wrong. There was only ever going to be 10 books from the beginning, I believe (ten ended up running long and so getting split).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Haruhi_Suzumiya_light_novels
Tenth book came out in 2011.
It was finally translated to English November 2013. I know, because I bought it and read it (own entire set woo). So it's not like it wasn't still being released in places/could've been promoted.

That blog article's thesis seems to be "no new novels are being written so there's no cross-promotion," despite that they also noted sales weren't as good for book ten. And the anime itself is a huge driver of sales (Haruhi sold very well). So with more than half the series to go and spinoffs continuing, there's not really a good business reason to stop.

At least one of the spinoffs is getting an anime adaptation, even if it's generic romcom.

EDIT: Ooooh, interesting. Is that always the case? I mean... why adapt something that's finished like F/Z, or based on a visual novel like F/SN/anything Key?
I mean, not that I care, since I read the novels. :awe:

Well I already have 5 currently airing shows that I'm watching so adding another might be a little too much.

So this basically means the Index anime series will never be finished?

This is @Slash too. It obviously isn't strictly the case, Type-Moon with F/Z and KnK is an obvious exception, another obvious exception being LoGH. However, I think it's a general rule. It's the reason I see thrown around for S&W not getting another season. For what it's worth the S&W manga is still ongoing so that may not be the reasoning at all, but the manga is also written by the original author of the LNs. I think it has a lot to do with the companies and authors involved and whether it seems like a good business proposition, to fans it may seem like it but fans don't always have the whole picture and don't always think the same way companies do.

Because TM loves making money off of Fate and because Ufotable is full of TM fanboys.

They begged Nasu to let them adapt KnK even though it was a flop (that is, the original novels flopped) just because they liked it.

Hahaha, I didn't know Ufotable approached Nasu about it. That's pretty great, actually.

Just finished the Haruhi movie. That was pretty good. I'm guessing some of the more unexplained parts are elaborated on in the LNs.

also, dear gawd Haruhi with the ponytail and t-shirt

Yes, JC Staff has stated that they will no longer work on Index or Railgun.

That's not true. All the quote really said is that the Toaru series is "currently paused".

It's referring to JC Staff's anime adaptations.

Started Clannad After Story. Why is Sunohara getting his own arc? Bleh...

I'm aware.

Clannad opted for exploring (almost) every single route from the original VN before actually getting into After Story. It's technically Mei's arc.
