Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Kino no Tabi/Kino's Journey
Usagi Drop

I wouldn't recommend all of those to everyone (at least, not the latter two) simply because of taste issues, but I have no problem throwing them out there as general recommendations.

also I just realized I completely missed Kino on your list

She's not fond of Anohana.

Consider Girls und Panzer, Spice and Wolf, Wandering Son, Sakamichi no Apollon, and Uchouten Kazoku for that list.

Katanagatari has a huge caveat: the talking. While it seems like an action-heavy plot, it leans excessively towards its meandering dialogue. You are practically required to not mind this aspect of the story when going through the anime.

Aww, that's a shame. 'cuz I loved Anohana.

Anyway, just now, I finally finished Little Busters Refrain.
It was certainly more interesting than its first season, but in the end it was still kinda meh.

The only 12-episode series I've seen that's not Angel Beats is Elfen Lied.

On another note, I've watched 14 episodes of Index. It's not bad so far, but I hear Railgun is much better.
Railgun is alright, it's one of those shows where not much actually happens and it's pretty episodic. I don't know about Elfen Lied as it literally cuts out the second half of the story, amongst other things.

Obvious choice for short series would be Girls Und Panzer, Canaan isn't bad either but I wouldn't call it great.
Railgun, episodic? I wouldn't say that, but it has a few bad fillers that should probably be skipped. And the arcs felt more meaningful than the ones in Index. The last arc in Index I and that crystal ship thing in Index II felt pointless and boring. Haven't seen S yet.

And I loved LB Refrain. Was way more emotional than Angel Beats for me.

Railgun S is a lot less stupid about its use of filler.

Only two episodes left of Index. I don't really get the hate for this show, though I will admit that nothing really stands out about it (except Mikoto, which is one reason I'm looking forward to Railgun).

Also, I want to share an awesome scene from Naruto.

Really major spoilers for Shippuden, especially in the video title

dafuq brought this about. Okay.

Peytral, you have not watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Please fix that. Also, based on your appreciation towards Penguindrum, you may be interested in watching Kyousougiga.

Satty, It's hard to judge your taste based off of so few anime. You might actually get a kick out of Katanagatari but I'm not very confident in that choice. I can see you liking Shinsekai Yori and Psycho-Pass but I'd need to know your interest in science fiction/horror/dystopias.

If you have a good idea of how my own taste in anime compares to yours, you can always use my own MAL as a reference to make your own decisions.

Well, I was reading the manga but for some reason I stopped halfway through Part 2.

I should probably get back to that, though. (“・ω・)つ

but okay, I'll start Kyousougiga.

Yeah, probably. I just don't bother with them, so I'm not used to them.

but, but, like half of the first season is episodic filler. Not saying it's bad but if you go in expecting something else it would be disappointing.

Hmm, all 3 of these happen to be on my list of stuff I need to watch so maybe I'll convince Satty to watch one of them with me.
