The problem with the Higurashi anime is that it can be a little hard to follow as it leaves out a lot of information and just throws some stuff at you. |

Just watch Higurashi for the bloodbath, the plot is needlessly confusing. In season 1 at least. Season 2 really does make more sense without you having to hurt your brain thinking about it like in Season 1. I did enjoy the wildly trying to figure out what was going on in the first season though. Read all thatīs out for Oyotomegatari/A Brideīs Story. Itīs pretty good, by the same author as Emma, Draco. The art is the main reason I read it. Itīs so detailed and captivating, and never really decreases in quality. Every panel has the same high quality as a chapter opening image or cover. The plot and characters are more okay. Itīs kinda a mix of shoujo and the grown up version of shoujo I forgot the name. Being historical fiction and supposedly quite accurate (well, many things iīm not buying, itīs obviously filled up with modern japanese values instead of late 19th century turkish ones) itīs sometimes hard to wrap your mind around things, like that a 20 year old could be in love with her 12 year old husband. But itīs interesting. |

I've got mixed feelings about Kyoukai no Kanata; Ratings are dreary on MAL, but some people are absolutely raving about it Would you guys recommend I start watching it? |

If you're hoping for anything substantial or compelling out of KnK, then you're shit out of luck. It's an okay series, disregarding that. |

I dropped KnK after episode 3 because I found it bland and regressive in almost every way. It's one of those things that "could," have been good, and maybe it gets better after that... but yeah. |

I watched the first few episodes and didn't like it at all really. The plot isn't anything special and the characters are unlikeable as well. The animation and art is nicely done but that's about it. Noragami is currently airing and has a kinda similar plot so maybe that would be a good alternative? Only the first 2 episodes have aired but it seems pretty enjoyable from that. Ga Rei Zero also has a similar plot and is a good watch if you're interested. |

Just finished Higurashi Kai. Is Rei worth watching? Seems like tacked on filler crap, Kai ended just fine. And I looked at the first episode and it's basically Loony Tunes, wtf... |

Yeah, Rei's pretty much just extra stuff. A couple of the episodes are just meant to be funny, but I found the other episodes fairly interesting. |

After storm mentioned Higurashi no naku koro ni Rei, while I was re-confirming some things on wikipedia, I noticed there was another short series, 4 episodes long, that came out recently called Higurashi no naku koro ni Kira. So I just finished watching that. The first episode of it was just as stupid as Rei's, the next couple were pretty good, and then came its last episode. Oooooo my gosh, that last episode was so good, and adorable. |

I guess I'll watch both eventually. I would like the silly episodes if they weren't "unrealistic", like tanking a shotgun shell to the chest... I started Log Horizon last night. Akatsuki is indeed ftw and I really like the strategy they use in battles. Love the ED, wonder if it will be getting a new one soon. |
