Fun fact: Ninja girl is from Ancient Japan. Yeah, I really wanted to get some backstory on Shiina, was disappoint. They also could've used that second ending as the beginning of a new season considering spoilers.

Some of the things that were left out, I thought, were useful characterization scenes. And some of the structuring was a bit strange. But the animation was lovely, and I really enjoyed the new music, and the labyrinths looked fantastic, and I still cried at the end despite rewatching the last two episodes less than twenty-four hours ago and crying then too. It was an awesome experience to see the story on the big screen, and the films work really well as companion pieces to the anime, and I was really glad I got to see them.
