I think it's finished but I don't know for sure. I haven't read the VN but the anime does cover the whole story AFAIK. I've heard it does leave out some minor stuff but it's still a good show in it's own right. You're welcome Dracs, it breaks my heart to turn someone away from the hamfest that is Geass ;_;

Also, regarding the preference for anime that follow their entire source material: are you simply wanting to avoid ones that cut off and feel incomplete? If something adequately covers a portion of its source material without leaving you going "wtf", would that be fine? I don't really like that either, but if it has a manga and it's finished, I'll consider it. Thanks for all the recommendations, I added a bunch to my plan to watch list. Are there any other cool ones that involve things like Vampires, demons and other supernatural? (Besides Hellsing)

Pretty sure it was supposed to be 26 episodes. Good news is they're releasing a VN of it soon.

Yeah, I don't think I've heard it from an official source but I've heard plenty of people mention it so I just assumed it was true considering the show does have overly-fast pacing, then again it is the internet. Yeah Bowz, they just announced that they will be releasing a VN a couple of months ago, pretty sure it's due in spring. You wanna make a bet with me Slash? I'm betting it'll be longer, maybe even much longer.
