If anything its problem was more that literally nothing else happened plot-wise outside of the character drama, which wasn't even handled very well.

It was as silly as I expected. I guess it was nice seeing Illya in a scenario that wasn't horribly tragic. And that Saber fight was freaking insane. Other than that... meh. Yeah, this is pretty much Prisma Illya. Next season should be better, though.
