Still gratuitous flashbacks, but less "RAGNA TRAINING LOL" Though they have to do Jubei throwing logs at Ragna. It's funny seeing all the scenes where normally there would -be- a fight, but they scrapped it because it didn't really serve the story. Or for animation budget. I appreciate how Blazblue has female characters who actually notice the male characters physically. dat ragna manservice Ragna: Hey hey, stop looking at me. Noel: turns around and blushes I-I wasn't looking! Ragna: You were totally looking! later, as Noel bandages his torso Ragna: I told you, quit looking! Noel: slight blush If.... if I don't look, I can't properly apply the bandage! Ragna: So you're justifying it now!? Noel starts furiously bandaging Ow! for episode 4 and looking ahead a bit It occurs to me that Blazblue: Continuum Shift could be seen as the story of Noel's character development -- or at least, I wonder if that's how the anime will be taking it. After the bit of Ragna: Oh, not going to run away this time? Noel: I-I have to ask about Jin! to paraphrase
