I can agree with Bowz that motw is generally pretty awful. As with pretty much any genre, magical girl can be good or bad(or both at once).

Sometimes I wish I never mentioned my actual thoughts on Evangelion so that I could act like a diehard fan and you'd think I am one. Yeah, Nanoha was motw for like the first few episodes until Fate is introduced and it actually gets somewhat interesting. Also, her reaction to seeing some huge monster is hilariously unrealistic for a 9 year old. If I was a 9 year old girl, pretty sure I'd scream like a little girl if I saw something like that.

Mako's dad and brother getting wrecked in the exact same fashion was easily my favorite part, with the "Blue Danube" gag being a close runner-up. Proof that good slapstick can still be delivered even with a rock-bottom budget. Biggest reveal in the episode: Spoiler: click to toggle Gamagoori sleeps in the nude. Also, I was briefly hoping that Maiko would form a Power Trio with Ryuko and Mako, but whatevs.
