Yeah, Kyoukai no Kanata was moe as hell. For some reason I was expecting it to not be so moe but I should've known better considering it's from Kyoto Animation. Kill la Kill was like a 24 minute dose of badass though, with a pinch of fanservice unfortunately but it still should be an amusing series to say the least. |

I didn't expect Golden Time to be so similar to Toradora! (At least in its cast, 1 MC, 1 Male Friend, 3 Female Friends, and it's wannabe harem romance) but it looks promising despite that. As for Kill la Kill blah blah fanservice blah blah awful blah blah |

Wannabe harem? As in it isn't completely harem and doesn't have girls fawn over the MC for pretty much no reason? Cause if so that sounds potentially good. Hey, it's not like I said Kill la Kill was bad, infact it looks pretty damn good. Still, even though I don't hate fanservice or KlK's art-style, the combination of the 2 is pretty meh-inducing. |

Golden Time will probably have a love polygon of some sort, but I highly doubt it'll be a harem at all, with what I know of the original author's work. |

This is what I mean. I don't understand the author's obsession with it. Edit: I guess I should clarify, I don't necessarily have a problem with love polygons, but I especially didn't like the one in Toradora! and every preview I saw for Golden Time led be to believe there was a singular romantic interest. |

Gooooood, plus 3 female leads sounds like a good sign cause generally when a show has more than that it just becomes hard to believe. On a related note, how much tsundere-service is there? |

Watch it and find out, obvs. Main girl is more of a Yan than a Tsun so far, though. |

Yeah, I might as well watch it. What's 20-some minutes of my life anyways. Yeah, Asphodel, same goes for me. That whole first episode was highly entertaining, Ryuuko definitely has an.... interesting uniform. |

Speaking of which, that whole scene of Mitsuo saying "She's like "Mitsuo do this BLAH BLAH BLAH, Mitsuo do that BLAH BLAH BLAH"" was the best thing ever. Characters seem really amusing in this show, and for that reason I'll continue watching it. The characters being in university makes it more relatable too, which is a bonus. |

Yeah, I find that protagonists being university-aged is a huge plus for any series I watch nowadays. I am looking forward to the rest of Golden Time. I was reading the manga, but since the anime will be completed/translated first, I'm not complaining. Especially since I don't think the LN has been fan translated completely (if at all). |

Haha, she definitely does. The fanservice didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would, probably because the rest of the episode was so zany that I felt they could get away with practically anything. Refuge in audacity, so to speak. |

Yeah, generally speaking, if the series doesn't take itself too seriously then they can get away with a little fanservice as long as it's not in your face every 2 seconds. Kill la Kill is easily the series I'm looking forward to most this season after seeing the first episode. I have high hopes for Golden Time too and Kyoukai no Kanata might be good as well. Not only is having University-aged characters more relatable but it's also refreshing to have the characters not be in high school for a change considering 95% of these slice of life shows are all about high school protags. |

Just watched the first episode of Blazblue, it'd probably be hilariously bad to anyone who hasn't seen the games, but it's enough to get by on the "oh hey it's that scene" part. The animation is pretty 90s, so it kinda feels like an older anime which I guess means my expectations are even lower? rofl @ using the music straight from the games, though But despite all that, I think I enjoyed that episode more than the first ep of Kyoukai no Kanata, which definitely does not bode well. I think I'll pick up Golden Time? |
