Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

>mfw the anime club meets for six hours.

Oh God.
Wow, I don't even think I could do that. Being at an anime club for 6 hours just seems excessive unless you're one of those guys that marathons anime on a regular basis.

But I think it sounds excessive too.

Here it's split between 3-4 different series and there's usually a break in the middle where there might be some discussion or some presentations/panels. Don't know if it's the same for Satterrible.

Pitt's club meets three hours at a time twice a week. But it's from 9-12 at night. They need to check their transportation privilege. Not everyone lives on campus. Then again, considering how horrifying I find the commuter lounge, perhaps it's best for everyone that I can't attend. But it would be fun to see how an anime club works.

What's with anime clubs and meeting today? The anime club at UVU is meeting today.

I'm not going because lazy (and I'm technically not enrolled and shouldn't be going)

If it's more than one series I suppose it wouldn't be too bad. Even meeting for 3 hours twice a week is still excessive IMO, considering that some people may be too busy to spend 6 hours a week at a club. Plus you can't just skip out on a meeting if you're too busy when they're in the middle of a series.

I don't think I've ever watched more than 13 episodes of anime a row and even then, that's something I do very rarely. Usually I can't watch more than 4 or 5 eps.

None of us watch anime as it's being broadcast on Japanese television stations without the aid of subtitles. We're all casuals.

Ugh, someone convince me to not give up on FMA again, its pacing is slow and the characters are... interesting but frustrating, I guess? Mainly its pacing, uggggh.

At the very least you should watch the next episode, it's pretty awesome.

It pretty much sets up the final arc, and the plot moves reasonably from this point. There's a couple slow episodes, but not nearly as many.

Just started Welcome to the NHK. Probably will go back to FMA after that.

Just finished watching DBZ Battle of the Gods. All things considered it was a pretty great movie, and dang that animation and art style made me drool.

Anime club decided what they'd watch! I actually like how they arranged their schedule, it's really convenient:
Quote:

September 27 - Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) Part 1
October 4 - Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) Part 2
October 11 - Movie/OVA Night #1
October 18 - Baccano!
October 25 - Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo Part 1
November 1 - Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo Part 2
November 8 - Daily Lives of High School Boys
November 15 - Steins;Gate Part 1
November 22 - Steins;Gate Part 2
November 29 - Movie/OVA Night #2

So I can just skip all the ones I'm not interested in. Which'll probably be Monte Cristo and Steins;Gate (the latter 'cause I wanna play the VN).

So, what's everyone watching this coming season? Blazblue anime and Kyoukai no Kanata (or however that's spelt) for me!

You don't ask this question without posting the upcoming season.
