But I'm not expecting much. How can you not expect much? With the first season it's like they pulled events/tropes out of a hat and included everything they pulled out. I'm expecting the second season to be more of the same. Valvrave will literally give us everything.

Pretty good show even if it wasn't as good as Gunbuster. I wish it was a little bit longer though, just a couple of episodes to flesh out the relationships between the characters and throw in some more epic fight scenes, particularly involving Tycho cause she was awesome and needed more screen time. Much like Gunbuster, the show started out alright and then just got progressively better(and more overthetop) with each episode.

heart-under-blade Posts: 36,354 Group: Iris Member #2 Joined: March 20, 2005 Gender: Male Country: #0# True Name: Saturos Theme Song: https://youtu.be/mh5vyvMGhqE	so, last episode of prisma illya holy shit that animation, I literally cannot take all this scenery porn it's funny that Prisma Illya ends up having better animation than Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, whose selling point was more or less that. the short of the skies, as well as the mirror world disintegrating, so good but yeah, so shounen and epic. and then the last half of the episode was basically shipper heaven. And Rin crushing the phone was amazing, plus "destroying the chopper." But yeah when Miyu said "I-if that's what you want, I'll t-try my best," p sure that was the closest I've ever come to an actual nosebleed tl;dr really enjoyed this series for the great fight scenes, excellent animation, and cheesy shipping. Pacing was a little off sometimes and there were stretches of nothing happening, and the plot is basically monster-of-the-week (especially since they took out the "sequel hook" foreshadowing in the adaptation), but overall just a silly, enjoyable show. Would definitely recommend if you're interested in happy!Ilyasviel or magical girl shows aimed at kids (since I think that's pretty much what this ended up being). I'd tentatively rate it about 7/10, I think?

Already mentioned this on skype, but the fanservice continues to be annoying. I mean, it's cute and romantic in that case, but uuuuuugh the "fetishization of innocence" part still causes me pain. Same sentiment as to that wedding fanart I posted in the Symphogear thread. Boyd wasn't sure about the foreshadowing I mentioned being taken out, spoilers for Prisma Illya The scene with Irisviel turns serious in the manga -- it ends with Iri asking "are you really afraid of your own power?" and continues with this: kinda a risque scene because of the derpservice, so fair warning Basically Irisviel asks Ilya if she's really afraid of her own power, won't tell her what it is, but says it's not something that's good or evil, but something that depends on her own will. And we all know how that turns out.

Except when 13 year olds are technically teenagers. Plus it's not like there's anything wrong with liking a show that's "aimed at a younger audience." Well unless it's like, for 5 year olds or something, that's stepping into some weird territory that I'd rather not talk about.
