Though I find the logistics to be a bit rushed and......that may or may not qualify as a deus ex machina, although considering the atmosphere of the anime, ending on such a note is....consistent....somehow. Well I guess to answer your question, it might have been more of a personal preference.

I didn't like the ending, though for me it was more because [spoiler it had a time skip, something which I really dislike in any storyline.[/spoiler] Also... Spoiler: click to toggle I kind of liked the rushed ending. The whole anime is explained sketchily, in a way that kinda highlights the dubious nature of the occult, like when nobody bats an eyelid when they summon a spirit during class. I have to admit, the vice principal suddenly revealing herself to be a White Mage was one of the highlights of the series for me, though the fight in the next episode, and all the other magicky action scenes were a bit too radical considering it was practically a high school drama a couple episodes before woooah this makes no sense looking back on it it's like when you keep talking without stopping and the sentence just makes less and less sense On an unrelated note... Just watched the first episode of Panty and Stocking. Oh dear god what in the name of boobs is this. I started it expecting it to be a slice of life/ecchi, hoping to be be proven wrong. I was. This anime is Powerpuff Girls on crack and not in a good way. The first five minutes contained bad toilet humour, sexism, racism, and a sense of humour so cringeworthy that you will literally die LITERALLY DO NOT WATCH THIS ABOMINATION unless you like it

Well pretty much all that moose said, though it's definitely neither generic nor uninspired. 5 minutes in so far. It's incredibly fast pacing and hyperbolic. EDIT: ZOMFKB ZOMFKB, I have never...laughed so hard....at an anime Though I doubt they'll be able to keep this up.

But yeah, the fact it's only 26 episodes really is unfortunate. Great characters such as these warrant a 52-episoder. >_> How awesome would it be if this had a crossover with Tommy Wiseau's The Room, though? Faldio: "YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, ALICIA!"
