If I could remember my nightmares, they would all involve dubs.
Holy shit, your nightmares are in English too? I thought I was the only one that didn't have nightmares in Japanese.

I'm usually indifferent on dub vs sub unless the show has a terrible dub. Also, anything in a European setting just sounds weird in Japanese so I prefer the dub in those cases.

Just finished Girls Und Panzer and was generally impressed with the show. It's a great example of a simple plot executed right. What's really nice is the fact that unlike many shows featuring a kawaii desu all girl cast, episodes don't consist of panty/cleavage shots or "cute girls doing cute things," instead, it's all about cute girls trying to blow each other up in tanks.
The show parodies war and the countries that fought in WWI & II through the other schools they fight with each school representing a different country which is absolutely hilarious. Also worth mentioning is the attention to detail and knowledge that was put into the tanks and their respective countries because this is part of what separates GuP from being another cheap gimmick. The other part being that the fight scenes are really well done, the main character doesn't win anything by some miracle or "rule of cool" invincibility, instead using her cunning and a bit of luck to compensate for her rag-tag team. Like, holy sheisse, I never knew tank fights could be this epic.

Watched the first episode of Neptunia with Satty and it was... painful. Also watched Fantasista doll's first episode and all I have to say is "Taniguchi Goro, pls." I'll admit the creator of Code Geass doing Magic the Gathering/Mahou Shoujo fighting dolls seemed kinda cool at first, but I don't know what to think after watching that.

This just reminds me of the terrible injustice of Emma never getting an English dub. ;_;

If it's a series that I'm unfamiliar with, and a dub is available, I go for the dub first. But if I've already heard it with the original Japanese VA's the first time, subbed, then I can't stand the dubs later on (which occurs often since I often watch them before the dubs are ever made).

I never have any problems hearing the Japanese VA's after hearing English dubs though, and it doesn't ruin dubs for me if I hear the Japanese AFTER hearing dubs first, but if my introduction to an anime is in Japanese, the dubs become dead to me.

If the two are close, I usually watch the two episodes alternatingly before settling. So Clannad I watched sub because Nagisa's voice, ow, and Penguindrum I watched dub.

There actually isn't a single panty shot in GuP, as requested by the director.

The world needs more directors like this. Which unfortunately won't happen because including panty shots in an anime generally increases it's popularity.

I've been having a Mecha craving ever since seeing Pacific Rim with Satty and a few friends. Only problem is I don't know what to watch, although I'd prefer something <26 eps. Peytral pls halp.

Strikers is like 10x more mecha than the previous two.

It's not bad, it's just too many new characters crammed into too little time (despite being twice as long), lacks the wonderful anti-villains the series had previously, and overall just wasn't as good as the original or A's. Good lord is it mecha, though. If A's took Nanoha's befriending up to 11, StrikerS takes it to 13.

Just finished watching Berserk. Okay. OKAY. Two things.

1) I'm gonna have nightmares. Those demons near the end are genuinely creepy.

2) What...the hell happened in the ending? If you can call it an ending. In fact, the last couple episodes in general made no sense to me.

It looks like I'll be reading the manga, cause it's actually canon and goes on for much longer than the anime.

Of course the manga is canon. Why wouldn't the original source material be canon?

I was aware of that before I even watched it. Basically just saying that I was completely dissatisfied with the anime's ending.
